Our home is over 50 years old, so instead of buying a new home, we decided to pay this one off and remodel every room instead. This kitchen was remodeled by myself for under $1,000. The colors were originally white, gold, and black with on old tile floor. To save on the most costly upgrades, I simply painted/glazed the MDF white veneer cabinets (adding appliques. Instead of buying butcher-block, we just tiled over our existing laminate countertops and sealed well. We continued the hardwood flooring from the adjacent dining room. The mosaic backsplashes and range hood cost me about $50 each to create.

32 year old kitchen undergoes a comepleate transformation to a modern contemporary cozy kitchen. From gutting out the old to rebuilding each phase with a few totally hands on projects by yours truly! Just moved in to a townhome. It is all done in white! I need help to figure out accent colors for the kitchen now that I did the red accent wall in the adjoining dining area. Im thinking of a tile or mosaic backsplash and possibly bringing in the color of the dining area. ANY THOUGHTS ON THIS?? I greatly appreciate all suggestions!

I love the beautiful cherry cabinets honed granite and the stainless appliances in our recently remodeled kitchen. I wanted to use ivory subway tiles for the backsplash but my decorator said it would look too stark. Now I'm not sure how I feel about the backsplash. In person they are beautiful glass tiles with lots of depth. I love them up close but they seem too busy from a distance. I'd love to hear everyone's honest opinions. Thanks!

We just recently updated our kitchen and gave it an old world Italian feel.
I love how warm and inviting it is and very rich looking. The granite countertops are an incredible upgrade.

kitchen had ceramic tile countertops and one row of tile backsplash, dark wood cabinets and a tile floor. Granite Transformations did the countertop, I did the backsplash with mosaic glass tiles, added trim and painted the cabinets and made knobs for the cabinets and drawers, and added a new wood floor.
