  • Kitchen Redo Using Existing Cabinets, It's a 9 x 12 kitchen. I kept the old cabinets, the kids and I painted & glazed them, did all new bronze hardware, sink (as usual there are dishes in there!), solid surface counters, wood-look laminate floor, removed walls and added a tiled "island" with stools. Works so much better now! , Kitchens Design

  • Our Colorful Kitchen Remodel, When we moved into our new house, we didn't have enough money to re-do our kitchen so we decided to handle the project ourselves. We painted the cabinets, painted the backsplash, added a hand painted island, changed out the hardware on the cabinets, spray painted the old kitchen light fixtures, painted a chalkboard wall, and replaced the old curtains with new ones. We love the way it turned out even though it was a lot of work!, Kitchens Design

  • French Parisian Girl's Nursery, This nursery was initially designed as a gender neutral nursery as the client was in the process of adopting a baby and wasn't sure if she was going to get a baby boy or a baby girl. Once a birth mother was selected and we found out she was having a girl, we added sweet feminine touches to make a sophisticated french inspired nursery. The client loves Paris and everything French and the rest of her home reflects her love of french decor, so the theme for the nursery was evident! We selected 100% dupioni silk bedding, chose beautiful French themed nursery wall art and added sweet gems and jewels to the nursery wall hanging and canvases. The pink poodle rocking animal was a fun and playful touch and the mocha crystal nursery chandelier is accented with a hand made chandelier ceiling medallion that says "Anything is Possible"...a phrase the mom-to-be used during one of our conversations about her adoption process. I found that quite fitting for this wonderful love story!

  • Feeling calm in Family Room, Have made a few changes in our Family room. Added cabinets beside the fireplace, new rug, harwood laid in hallyway off family room and use of white to accessorize.

Looking for a new lightfixture to replace the track light (ceilings just 8') and considering some small mosaic tile on small black area surrounding the fireplace.
Also, have a white, ornate mirror that might replace the 3 prints on the back wall. With mirrors over the cabinets, Would this be overkill with mirror though in this room??

Thanks for any other suggestions!, Living Rooms Design

  • It's a Boy! An Owl Nursery for Landon, This nursery was the first room I really designed and was truly a labor of love! My mom and I created almost everything ourselves...the rest of the items were ordered on Etsy. I really like unique items and tried to stear clear of mass produced nursery bedding and decor. I originally chose the owl theme thinking how unique it was, but quickly found out how popular owl decor is now!
I originally wanted to paint the room a bright aqua color, but then I found a wall decal that I loved and wanted to showcase that. Not sure if you can tell from the pictures but I had the ceiling painted a pale blue color instead. I am open to any suggestions and/or questions! Thanks for looking at my space! :), Nurseries Design
