We love how our daughter's nursery turned out! It's so calm and peaceful -- and even though she's still sleeping in our room at night, I still love to spend most of the day in her room. When planning for a boy or girl, I knew I wanted the "big ticket" items to be of good quality and remain gender neutral - to accommodate our future children. I first found the Bratt Decor crib 50% off! I then picked out the bedding and wall color and everything fell into place after then. I was able to save money by making her mobile, lampshade and bow holder. The dresser was an antique find in my dad's shed, so that = FREE! I am planning on a total redo of my 1987 mobile home...looking for color ideas and flooring.. Ignore the outdated wall pics and window curtains...i know they got to go...just not very good on choosing colors and putting it all together...I LOVE light greens and white accents...thanks for any help...

My husband and I did all the work ourselves.The backsplash was made with old fence boards we got for free from my b-i-l. I painted the cabinets with barn red craft paint and 4 coats of polyurethane. It's been 5 years and they are still looking great.

Yes we DO live here. We are on SSI disability and in our mid-50's limited on what we could find to live in. 1973 mobile home and yes it looks like #$$#% on the outside and on the inside but it's OURS Paid cash for it after saving for years. The first pictures are when we bought it the last is of what it looks like now Not much different is it? Would be willing to accept any suggestions or any help that is offered.

I have attempted to merge 3 photos of my living room together so that you can kind of get an idea of what it looks like, as it won't all fit in one picture. I really need help with the layout. Our front door is the main entrance to the home. We have the wood stove which can't be moved, and behind where I'm standing is our kitchen and dining room. It is a large open floor plan. My living room measures 21' x 13.5'.
Can anyone help me with a decent, comfy, pretty layout?

Our first baby boy is due in just a couple of days and his nursery is ready and waiting for his arrival. We painted the room a gray/blue and used modern decals on the wall behind the crib. Utilizing Charlie Harper prints and other accents, we let the theme of "modern woodland animals" dictate the rest of the design.

Since the moment we found out we were expecting my brain went to work on the nursery! When we found out we were having a girl, I knew I wanted a modern chic room that was sweet and girly, but not "baby-ish". I scoured the internet (thank you, ETSY! and pulled together what I feel is a beautiful nursery for my little girl! The room is calming and sweet, not too busy, and functional without being messy.
We just love it and hope that she'll look back one day and feel the love we put into each and every detail (:

I had so much trouble finding bedding and accessories for my son's room that simply had color and no themes! I made the art on the walls and the mobile. I just discovered scrapbooking paper (I love the colors and this is what I managed to make with it. I hope he loves the room as much as mommy does!
