  • Mighty Master, We love relaxing and enjoying this space! When we moved in to the house this room was lime green with a jungle theme. We painted, installed new curtain rods, blinds, window treatments, and crown molding. Then we put in dark brown furniture and accent pieces and finished it off with very simple accessories. , Bedrooms Design

  • Tropical Dining Room, Our dining room has an outdoor feeling with the distressed wooden table, and bamboo tree in the corner:) This room is still a work in progress - I'm in the midst of trying to sell the large mirror and I found a beautiful canvas art piece to put in its place...so once I sell it, I'll have new pics;), Dining Rooms Design

  • Narrow Entryway, This is our front hallway/entryway that is incredibly narrow. Since it's the first thing you see when you walk in, we wanted to make it pretty and obviously, functional. We really started working on it during Apartment Therapy's January Cure, adding hooks, baskets, and decorating the cabinet. It works really well for us and it's nice walking in and seeing something pretty! You can see more details on my blog http://shoes-off-please.com, Other Spaces Design

  • Made for the Kids!, This is my upstairs bathroom designed for my 2 children. I wanted it to be fresh, clean, & reflect the kids. I used cream paint w/whilte chair rall & wainscoting. I purchased a white cabinet for $30 cut off the top & replaced it w/granite & an undermount sink. I found a fun mirror for $8. I purchased the accessories at pottery barn: matching curtain, mat, towels, & plates that I put on the wall for art. I used the same granite from the sink on the windowsill & over the baseboard below. I used fun blue title in the bath & white tile w/fun blue inserts on the floor. In order to fit the towels, I put them on the door & had the door swing out instead of the normal in to create more room. Finally, I used all crome fixtures throughout., Bathrooms Design

  • Home gym, My home gym. I needed a place dedicated to workout in. I wanted a upbeat sophisticated, sassy space. Somewhere where I would actually ant to go in there. Although I have 3 dog crates I needed to put somewhere too. I think over all I made a decent space on a non budget., Other Spaces Design

  • Master Bathroom with a View, We recently (finally) renovated / remodeled our master bathroom that had been sitting gutted since the day we bought our house - over 3 1/2 years ago. We finally were able to borrow the lump sum needed to do this massive makeover. The issue with the original bathroom - other than the fact that it was super dated (green wallpaper) and yucky, was that the main drain was cracked and water was leaking to the floor below - into the walls and down to the floor. This is a second story bathroom and below it is the kitchen and dining room. Sadly the previous tenant was using the bathroom even with the broken drain pipes which had caused mold in the walls which we had to get professionally cleaned! Anyway, all that's in the past now and we have a fabulous modern (but comfortable) master bathroom that feels like an expensive hotel / spa and it even has a view of the bay and golden gate bridge!

feel free to follow our blog for the rest of our adventures in home makeover here - http://fixerwithaview.wordpress.com - we even have a blog section about how we almost got onto HGTV's curb appeal - shot the reveal and everything before our project was cancelled., Bathrooms Design

  • Mirror, Mirror on the Wall (Bathroom), This area is outside of my tub/potty room (almost like in a hotel) and it is just off of/visible from my "new" bedroom. (See post!!) I needed a larger mirror as I felt "squished" with the small short one. (See photo to the right.) So I WILL be keeping the longer mirror. My question: OK to be leaning toward the 'drama' of the black? Your thoughts? (Also check out the WAY BEFORE photo... the light gray appears white -- in thumbnails to the right of this post.), Bathrooms Design
