  • Living Room w/Mid-Century Sensibility, My small living room receives little lighting why I chose light walls. I have been updating this 80-year old home to make it feel modern. Updated space with new paint colors and furniture has been rearranged. Need to add lighting and few accessories. Unfortunately too large tv and sectional sofa must remain in same space. I plan to install storage unit and plants in sunroom to hold china and accessories. Any suggestions are welcomed.

  • Marianne & Howard's Great Room, We removed the walls between our kithen and the combined living room -dining room area creating one unified space for easy entertaining. The house is mid century modern and we've tried to stay true to the contemporary feel while incorporating some transitional elements. The floors in the grreat room and the kitchen cabinets are eucalyptus, which is a green material and there is radiant flood heating throughout the space.

We love the spcae but are always looking for suggestions to improve it and warm it up more - especially with accents and alternative furniture placemnt., Living Rooms Design

  • Thoroughly Mid Century Modern Office, We wanted to marry our love of everything mid century with practicality and functionality in creating our office space. We also use the room to relax and watch tv. The large photo was hung off-center because the computer monitor and swag lamp would have blocked it and we didn't want that., Home Offices Design

  • Lofty Living , This loft is 972 sq.ft. We created 8.5 ft. partition walls to define a living room, dining room, bedroom, and study. The ceiling ht. is 14 ft. and the windows measure 11 ft. It was a wide open space--we wanted a balance between loft and home. We grabbed the inset panels in the dining room entrance off the street on the Upper East Side of Manhattan--put out for the trash. The floors are mostly original from the turn of the century. We stained them a rich espresso. We wanted a warm, comfortable space!, Living Rooms Design

  • vintage modern nursery, Our daughter's contemporary nursery inspired by mid century modern design and sustainable elements.

My objective for designing this room was to create a kid-friendly environment that would reflect a youthful energy and transition well as our daughter grows older. White walls and furniture serve as a clean canvas to showcase a spectrum of vibrant colors throughout the room. The number collage, framed alphabet art, and roller coaster print are pieces reminiscent of childhood, but with urban appeal. Bold, colorful fabrics with contemporary patterns are mixed and matched to keep it fun., Nurseries Design

  • Mid-Century Design and Staging, This concrete block home in SW Portland was being flipped. Sellers wanted to affordably update, but were afraid that buyers wouldn't want the concrete block house with it's "dated" features. Well, one woman's 'dated' is another woman's 'dreamy' - and I thought it was fab! So I convinced them to abandon their plan to make the interior mainstream and instead enhance the special assets the home provided. They received 5 or so offers in the first 10 days and accepted an offer well over asking! The kitchen is shown in the Kitchen section under Mid-Century Kitchen Design., Living Rooms Design

  • Mid-Century Kitchen Design, Owners of this house to be flipped intended to rip out cabinets and make kitchen mainstream. I saw the beauty of the original design and appeal to buyers, so I persuaded them to keep cabinets and I designed the tile, cork flooring and quartz countertops. And staged it. 5 offers and sale over asking, they are thrilled! I'll add photos of the rest of house under Mid-Century Design., Kitchens Design
