  • Pet Memorial Garden, This garden came of burying my little kitty of 18 years in this space. The colors I'm using are purples and whites. It's still in the works as you can see. Lack of muscle labor and a small budget keeps it a work in progress. , Gardens Design

  • The Gazebo - The Yard's Centerpiece, We have three lots in a subdivision that used to be flat farmland. The 14-foot gazebo is the centerpiece of the east lot and is surrounded by a perennial garden. When looking toward the gazebo from the back of the house the flag pole and a small "memorial garden" can also be seen. The garden is a tribute to my husband's brother who was killed in Vietnam. We are in the process of adding white bird houses to the pillars. Later when the project is completed I will add another photo. , Yards Design

  • Objects in the Garden, My gardening style is quite relaxed. I have objects of all sorts and sizes in my garden. Some are meant for the garden and some have been repurposed. Tasteful placement of various and interesting objects is an important element in my gardens. Objects can be used as focal points or as semi-hidden surprises as you stroll around your yard.

  • Memorial Weekend Front Yard Flower Garden, I did my front yard starting on Friday night and worked pretty much all weekend. The final result is seen on Monday evening. I used lots of perennials, all equally spaced. each side is perfectly symmetrical. I spent the $100 budget on plants, compost and mulch, so I found the rocks in an alley behind the house! Once the plants mature in a few years, i think it will look excellent, and there will be something blooming all year round!! This is the first yard I have ever had, so I hope everyone likes my first attempt! , Gardens Design

  • Our little piece of heaven, Rural suburban backyard on the edge of a very large metropolitian area..only 6 years old. lot 90W X 139L. In a subdivison of above ground pools and trampolines,We are concentrating on making it more "wildlife habitat friendly" then for looks. We still have a long way to go on filling in and making it more natural..but that takes time and money. This is a beginning from what it use to look like...bare, empty, and nothing here....New construction, so its been a labor of love. :-) Every year it gets better. There's still a lot to do, but I love doing it. :-), Gardens Design
