  • High Class/Low Cost Family Room Remodel, These are before and after pictures of the garden level of our townhome. Before was one large room with dropped ceiling, paneled walls and a tile floor. It also has a half bath. The after has a family area with fireplace (electric), formal dining area and game corner for the grandkids. I've added pictures of our buffet area, kitchen and half bath., , Basements Design

  • Modern, cozy Kitchen, The earth tones and natural colors and cabinetry dovetail with the choice of materials in the foyer dining room and living room. • Country Pickled Kitchen, I actually like my pickled cabinets and gave the kitchen a mini facelift. My husband installed pergo wooden flooring we had a ceramic backsplash put it and had the cupboards refinished and sealed to remain their color without peeling or discoloration which can happen to pickled cabinetry. I also had a pantry and useless microwave shelf removed and in place had the moss green cabinetry built. For minor cost I really gave the kitchen a lift., Kitchens Design

  • Elfie's Bedroom, We replaced the carpet with a sustainably harvested bamboo floor in a dark color and paired it with crisp white furniture, trim and crown molding. The walls are a pearlized ocean blue in a semi gloss, zero VOC paint. I found accessories and paintings on super clearance. The entire room makeover including paint, flooring, furniture, bedding (Vera Wang sheets $25!!!), curtains and accessories was under $2500!! :0), Bedrooms Design

  • Kitchen updated on a budget, We had very little money to upgrade our kitchen. We put in stainless steel appliances and changed out the countertops. The countertops were an ugly sandy pink color before. We liked this laminate b/c it gives the look of concrete without the price. I get mixed feelings from friends about the knife set. I found it online and the funny thing is it is called "The Ex". We want to put in a backsplash and are thinking of white subway tile - any other suggestions?, Kitchens Design

  • Family Room (but in the Garage!!), We originally made over our garage for our teenage son and his friends but it's become our favorite room in the house!!
We built out just to the garage opening on both sides so we could gain some storage cabinets. The bead board is so seamless that you forget there are storage cabinets in the room. We also put in a pull down ladder and made use of the overhead storage space which is quite large and holds a ton of stuff.
We acid stained the floor and added low voltage track lighting. , Living Rooms Design

  • Warm and Sleek Eat-in-Kitchen, This is a repost after a new lighting update. An understated low cost makeover of a 70's kitchen with some Schonbek lighting gives a little bit of glam and refinement to what used to be a dark and dreary place to cook & dine. In the dinning room one red accent wall with texturized paint resonates with the red used in the kitchen and the accent furniture pieces. ART: Rouge and Blanc. , Dining Rooms Design
