  • Gym Locker , Our bathroom looks like what you would have used as a gym locker in high school. We bought this house 2 years ago but the bathroom looks like it was built with the house in 1978. Looking for ways to turn it into a real retreat and add a spa tub. We plan to live here for many years to come so would like the bathroom to be transformed into something we can grow with., Bathrooms Design

  • Laundry room makeover, In our house we have a VERY small laundry/mud room. Its right off the garage, there was a small closet and when I mean small if you hung a hanger up you couldnt shut the closet doors. We took off the sliding doors, ripped out the rod and put up book shelves instead. I took out most of the shelving and hung up coat hooks instead, so each of my kids now have their own space to hang up back packs, coats and above on the top shelf is a container for their hats and gloves. The other side are my washer and dryer, we painted the walls a neutral tan and took off the wall paper and then hung up a cabinet found at Lowes. I love my small laundry room now!, Other Spaces Design

  • Yankee stadium mural, This mural was painted for a fan of the Yankees. I painted the yankee stripes on three walls along with a locker. The forth wall was a mural as if you were standing in the bleachers of Yankee stadium. My husband had a fit when I told him what I did. He is a Boston Red Sox fan!, Boys' Rooms Design

  • Need Advise and Inspiration Help, This is our living room in our very open floor plan home (which I like) but I want it to be a cozy gathering place. It is our family room and we have no other formal or sitting room. I used to have giant Ikea expedit bookcases on either side of the tv and now it seems so empty in the room that people probably think we are getting ready to move! I am wanting a large wall entertainment center/bookcase. This empty tv wall is 16 feet wide and ceiling is only 8 ft. tall. The other issue is the front door entry. I need storage for my 3 kids backpacks, shoes etc. except I don't know if it would look strange to carry an entertainment center into a mudroom locker type of arrangement for the space by the door (since they flow together). I also want to paint the entire room- I like cozy earth tones like taupes and grays but this room doesn't have the best lighting and I don't want it to feel too dark. Please help, my children have seen me spend too many hours looking online for inspiration!, Living Rooms Design

  • Recycled Door-to-Table Dining Room, Our open floor with narrow dining area required a custom table design so we salvaged an old five panel wood door, strapped on bent piping for legs, set decorative paper in the door panels and topped it with glass. Seven years and one wild toddler later, the table is still going strong! Our dining area is kept fairly simple with small pops of colorful accessories, letting the table be the main feature. Metal lockers store craft supplies, snacks, toys and linens., Dining Rooms Design
