My intent was to create a peaceful and romantic space for my husband and I. For photographs I used only pictures of him and I (left out our beautiful baby boy who's pictures have taken over the rest of the house and used decor items from our wedding such as our champagne classes, wedding book, wedding pictures, and my cherished Jimmy choo wedding shoes.I also wanted the space to feel peaceful so I decided on monochromatic and relaxing colors. We are happy with the result, it feels romantic and peaceful! Thank you for taking the time to look at our room! Also I just started a blog at peacefulhomedecor.blogsopt.com I just started it so its sparse but I would love some visitors! :
The living room, with oak flooring, is small but bright, with lots of light from multi-paned windows. Linen whites and touches of green and gold keep the space fresh and open.

We love how our daughter's nursery turned out! It's so calm and peaceful -- and even though she's still sleeping in our room at night, I still love to spend most of the day in her room. When planning for a boy or girl, I knew I wanted the "big ticket" items to be of good quality and remain gender neutral - to accommodate our future children. I first found the Bratt Decor crib 50% off! I then picked out the bedding and wall color and everything fell into place after then. I was able to save money by making her mobile, lampshade and bow holder. The dresser was an antique find in my dad's shed, so that = FREE! I hope you enjoy looking through the pictures, and I hope they do the room justice!

We used brown, tan, and green to create a calm and cozy space for our newest arrival. The room is very small so we opted for curtains instead of doors on the closet and matched them to the one window.

Making the best with what we've got, which is very little money. So we decoupaged the whole thing. Should've took a before picture. The doors were pieces of plywood painted white. I printed out a bunch of artwork that I found online (this took several weeks, purchased some 1 inch molding from Home Depot, picked up some Mod Podge and foam paint brushes from Michaels, and a spray can of lacquer. Filled cabinet doors with artwork, painted moldings and added to outside of cabinets for a framed in look and finished with a couple coats of lacquer. Total cost was under $100 (including the ink for my printer

I bought this house for $600 dollars at a tax sale auction and set out to remodel and redo it with a very small amount of money! It has been redone with free, recycled, repurposed items with paint being the only major expense! I searched all over town and hit curb piles, had friends, neighbors and whoever I could talk into keeping a look out.. watch for discarded items. Soon, people began to bring me things they thought might look good in my house! No area was free from scrounging, including the city compost pile where people dumped amazing treasures!

This is our only fully functional bathroom - for a family of five. The fixtures and decor are original to the house - not our style at all! The bathroom has a tub/shower combination, toilet, vanity with one sink, and a linen closet.
The way the room is laid out - when both the main bathroom door and the linen closet door are open at the same time, the knobs get caught on each other and it's difficult to get them back apart. The knobs have also worn holes in each of the other's doors. There are also two doors into this bathroom - one from the hallway and one that goes into what used to be the master bedroom. We've closed off that door and don't use it - partially because that's now two of our daughters' bedroom but also because we need the wall space in both rooms. Having that extra door seems unnecessary since the bathroom's right next to the bedroom anyway.
The flooring is linoleum, and in 5+ years I've been unable to tell if it's supposed to be yellowish in nature, or if it's yellowed from age. I also hate the caulking around the sink and along the tub, and the grime that I just can't seem to get rid of in all of the corners of the floor. My least favorite thing in the bathroom though is the vanity - the countertop is textured, and almost impossible to keep looking clean. Our bathroom needs help!

70's vintage lacquered rock and pink floral wall paper was chosen by my husband's parents when they owned the old house.
When remodeling the house hallway, they had enough space to also add another half bath to the master.
We would like to combine the two small bathrooms and make it into one large master bathroom.
Such a large project seems so overwhelming, any advise or ideas would be welcomed.

I once again had the honor of designing a nursery - this time for my first grandson, Hudson. My son-in-law requested it honor their (and mine, too alma mater, Oklahoma State University. Starting with a neutral background, we added Cowboy sports memorabilia, black & orange - our school colors - and mascots in small doses. I think his request was acheived!
