Two little princesses started with a plain light gray room. With the purchase of new bunk beds & new polka dot bedding, we needed something girly to jazz up the new space. We taped off horizontal stripes to coordinate, and the attached bath uses polka dots in the coordinating colors and the same princess theme. It uses bubble gum pink, lime green, light teal/turquoise, and tan/khaki. The wall of baskets was pricey but is invaluable storage for toys and such. The whole project was kid-friendly and fun and on a budget.

I transformed my daughter's bathroom for less than $200. I painted the cabinets, attached the cabinet hardware, painted the walls, added a couple pieces of art and some contrasting towels along with a fun shower curtain. The walls are a light lime green with teal and chocolate brown towels to contrast. I did this all in a couple of days and all while my husband was in Germany :

Creating a bedroom for a 12 year old that will take her through her teen years can be challenging. I painted the walls a grown-up chocolate brown, then used a colorful mix of bold textiles in her favorite colors for the accessories. If her favorite colors change (and they will the space can be updated without starting over!

I painted the room before I even found a shower curtain or towels. I wanted something simple but eye catching. I think it worked! I'm a very simple person and I'm a little afraid of color. When I was finished it was my favorite room in the house.

This is my kid's bathroom. I wanted to make it fun but gender neutral since I have two girls and a boy. I painted everything and made the curtain and prints with their hands (my favorite keepsake! The chocolate brown color is Sable by Sherwin Williams.

Our daughter wanted a space to study and rest but still feel that she was being social. So I started the design and a train berth/compartment came to mind. With my wonderful husbands help and the college giving us measurements of the exsisting bed/floor plan we created this great space. Although our daughter was nervous about leaving home for the first time this design gave her the feeling of having a space all her own. THIS BED IS AVAILABLE FOR SALE AS MY DAUGHTER HAS MOVED INTO AN APARTMENT. BELTON, TX UMHB lureec@hotmail.com 200.00

My husband and I live in a prefabricated home. All of the walls have drywall with a textured wallpaper covering. Instead of re-drywalling over the walls here, we did a textured paint. This bathroom received a complete overhaul-from floor to ceiling.

I painted this living room about 2yrs ago. I really like the chocolate brown and green combination. I painted brown and green horizontal lines on the main wall and the other walls are brown. I left the ceiling white. I accessorized with brown, white, and green accessories.

This room was done for a very sweet young girl with specific needs. It was important that her space be cozy and organized. Due to her conditions, it was imperative that we relocate a lot of the clutter/toys.
In an effort to keep costs down, we re-purposed whatever items we could.
After the room was finished, the little girl was able to stay in her room the entire night, and has ever since then. This made her parents very happy. You can view more photos at www.lilymax.com
