  • Our Christmas Home!, We love Christmas so much so I try to make the house as warm and cozy as possible during Christmas. I often have people say that they would love to come visit me and bake cookies when they see pictures so I feel like I am getting the look I am going for for the most part. Our house is very small (less than 1300 sqft) so it can be tough to fit in all that I wish I could but I do my best. Excuse the old tv! That is the one part of the room we need to update more than anything...haha I would love to buy a fireplace and a a tv to hang above it for that wall! That would really help complete the space for me., Holidays Design

  • Fairy Garden, After starting to build my children's tree house village, I looked down and thought, If I want this to be a truly magical place, I would like to see something magical everywhere! My friend Beth Nichols and I decided to create a Fairy Garden to encourage a magical experience! Our tree houses are still being built (as you may see some construction materials in the background of my photos), but I feel that the garden is well done! • Our Christmas Home - 2012, I can't even begin to explain the love I have for Christmas. I think about it all year. I am ready to decorate the second Halloween is over. I adore everything about it.

Our home is small but I cram as much Christmas decor as I can into it...haha I don't follow all the trends when it comes to decorating, especially with my tree. I like to use the blown glass ornaments we have collected over the years and this year I am up to 90% all blown glass. There are about 10% that I could not bring myself not to add b/c they were too special to us. I try very hard to have that home you can't help but want to cuddle up with a cup of hot chocolate in. I love a somewhat "vintage" feel.

  • Too many lights?, I need your opinion...I'm starting on my kitchen, I wanted pendant lights so very bad, so I started with the two in the middle. They were not spaced right for two lights, so I ended up adding two more, did I overdo it? , Kitchens Design

  • Contemporary/Post Modern Dinning Room Built In Hutch And Display, We were contacted by a designer based in Arizona. The designer had a client moving from Arizona to the New York metro area and she needed a local millwork contractor to supply a built in the clients new apartment.

The built in was to be contemporary/modern and cubist in nature. The unit measures about twelve feet long and is 85" high. It is manufactured from solid and Maple veneer. The stain color is a blended/custom ebonized cherry stain mixed up by our lacquer supplier. The glass has a sandblasted effect achieved by the use of a glass film.

The unit incorporates various nooks and cubbies. Some behind glass wood sliding doors, on top, some behind glass and wood hinged doors, and some open. The large open middle portion is for art work and has two halogen down light pucks on a dimmer. Below the art nook is a top that runs through the unit and allows the couples children some work space to do their homework. There is also a wine rack incorporated into the units lower right section., Living Rooms Design

  • Modern Living Room - Kid Friendly!, Living room split into two areas. As you walk in on the right is where most time is spent on L shaped corner sofa. This faces a slim LED TV, XB Kinect, WII, XBOX, DVD player etc. There is an fire also built into the wall.

On the other side two leather sofas with coffee table in middle. Music system mounted on the wall. Mostly used for guests and listening to music.

Lighting is via spot lights and one up light. Two coloured spot lights under bay window for night useage.

The flooring was a labour of love to install and polish! All flooring on the ground level is wood parquet (parkay). Each block is about an inch and half thick.

The French doors lead into the kitchen (not parquet but tiles on floor). These are mostly kept shut and kitchen accessed via the front landing.

Will upload pictures of the kitchen soon…
