Our son's nursery project was done on a budget. We painted the chair rail onto the wall and hung some lanterns in the corner. Chocolate brown ceiling to floor curtains really pulled everything together.

This room was blue when I moved in. I painted it hot pink!! The pink was different but it hurt my head after a while. SO back to blue, but a better blue. I painted the ceiling dark brown partly as an experiment to see if I would like it, and partly to hide the imperfections, cracks, bumps, and glued on stars!!! Turns out, I do love a brown ceiling and have since painted the bedroom ceiling and will soon paint the bathroom. Anyone thinking about painting a ceiling dark brown....don't be afraid!! Although I must say, I think white crown molding is a must in such an endeavor.
So anyway, this is my favorite room so far but I am open to any suggestions you may have. Several minds are better than one.

is that a lamp behind the sheer thing in the corner. It looks like the exact lamp I have.

We had our house built 11 months ago, I decided to make the tiny kids/guest bath over and give it a contemporary touch. Finished it by framing the mirror with base boards which I stained in a dark espresso brown to match the shower curtain.

We wanted to create a very calming spot, that was boyish and childlike, but not too much so. We chose a light blue wall, with white trim, and creams and browns for accent colors.

It was time for a minor update. The wallpaper was literally falling off the wall after about 9 years. I kept the border and just repainted the wall that had the wallpaper with a soothing light blue. I added a new chair and a soft throw in the light blue. Also I refinished the dresser and nightstand for a more contemporary feel.

Our brand new dining room furniture just arrived this morning. Since we moved into this house a year ago thinking of painting a light blue with vertical stripes - either below chair rail or above (not sure with maybe a darker muted blue below chair rail. Color advice? Chandelier came with house and isn't staying. What type of chandelier? Knobs on china and table & chair accents are nickel. Why type of artwork? Window treatments? Rug?Any advice is much appreciated. Thanks!!!

Our dining room was dark and cave-like before. Now we love how much bigger it looks. It is bright and cheery. The paint is Behr French Grey. I wanted a new chandelier but decided to wait because of the economy. Total renovation cost = $70. I hope you love it! Should we put drapes on the patio door? If so which ones would you suggest?

I went for the Dark Brow accented with Light Blue to give it the calm clean spa feeling. I also added shell and beach inspired accessories throughout the room.
