  • Family Room - To Paint or Not to Paint, We have a dilemma with the family room in our new house. It is a 30+ year old house with very nice library paneling in a lighter stain. The big question is - to paint or not to paint? On one hand, painting could detract from the quality of "antique" walls, however, painting the walls would open up the room. Also, if we paint we will put down wood floors and match the ceiling beams to the floors. If we do not paint we will put down tile flooring. We need to make a decision quick as the painting begins in a week, and we also have to choose flooring. We really would like to find alternatives to painting if possible. Any suggestions and examples are much appreciated!, Living Rooms Design

  • Traditional Modern Master Bath, This master bath is complete with cherry "hardwood" tile floors, a limestone shower, sliced pebble shower floor, Carrara marble countertop and tub deck, and a gray green glass tile vanity backsplash. The corner built in was needed for added storage and the white paneling ties it into the room nicely, giving the bath tub area a library feel., Bathrooms Design

  • Family Room, Cozy and Warm, Come on in I'll put a fire in the fireplace and you can grab that fuzzy soft throw and we'll curl up on the sofa for a good movie. Or do you feel like snuggling in with a good book...there are some good mysteries here on the shelf. This room is covered in judges paneling so I decided to go with a "hunt" theme using lots of jewel tones. Hope you enjoy the tour and please come visit me at:, Living Rooms Design

  • Cherry wainscoting, Started out as a real plain jane room. Added 1/4" Cherry plywood with solid trim strips, stained and finished with satin poly. It's my guest room, but I like to 'vacation' in here once in a while in the winter. It's very cozy., Bedrooms Design

  • A QUIET CONVERSATION, This room was dubbed "the library" that turned into an old-fashioned clubby drinking-cigar-smoking-having-a-quiet-conversation-by-the-fire sitting room. It is rather small 10x11 and is perfect for 4. I wanted it to look like it's been there forever although our house is new construction. It has become my favorite of all spaces. I think my soul is OLD. , Living Rooms Design
