This is my 5 yr old daughter's new room. Before the walls were half yellow and pink with border running in the middle. The yellow paint got dingy and the border got ripped. So decided time for change. She insisted on Lavender room. I wanted to make her room appear larger, and more modern for selling this home some day. We got rid of her 4 poster bed and bought new headboard, got rid of window treatments, put up modern white faux wood blind and simple valance. Painted all one color, and did not put up as much on walls, removed TV and toybox from room and added long dresser for more clothes storage.

8 year old Audrey wanted a big girl room that she would not outgrow in her teen years. Voila! Mom decorated the room in a lavender and brown polka dot theme. The paint is Valspar eggshell in "Purpling Dawn". Bedding is from Jojo Designs and many accessories from Target's Circo collection. The personalized wall decals are by weedecor.com and mom's creative handmade touches are sprinkled throughout the room including the refinished furniture and the photo wall hangings. Enjoy!

Trying to reduce the lawn in my drought stricken southern california backyard, i put down a bark path lined with Grosso lavender (the path continues around behind a raised area where I've got drought tolerant shrubs and perennials like dwarf fruitless Olive, Ceanothus, Centranthus, Cape Honeysuckle, and Rosemary.
This is a very sophisticated bedroom to a teenage girl. The goal was to make it as "pretty" as I could for her using light neutrals infused with lavender and pink. Metallic touches make the room shimmer! And once she leaves the house the parents have a great guest suite.

I did this room for my 9 year old niece. She wanted some shade of purple and she loves animals. We had a strict budget and LOTS of kids "stuff" to conceal. We incorporated her existing furniture and thanks to IKEA Bombay Kids (clearance of course JC Penney and a lot of paint and sweat equity we transformed her room into just the room she wanted!

Trying to capture a vintage feel in a small 8 X 9 room having to reuse old furniture updated with new drawer pulls and a crib from WalMart. Bedding was bought off of eBay. This room was under $300 to pull together. Trying for a vintage feel? What do you think?

My husband and I have been in our house for almost 13 years and we've never used this "bedroom" space as a bedroom. So this time we finally did it. The walls were already lavender and I didn't want to paint again, so lavender was what we were going to work with. I found the headboard and mirrored dresser at a model home furniture clearance center, bedding, pillows and lighting are from Home Goods and window treatments from Bed Bath & Beyond.

This Fairy Garden Nursery was created with love for my baby girl, Brielle. It included her Fairy Godmothers (my sisters - Auntie Shell and Auntie Sheri hovering over her crib to guard and protect her. The many details were painted with the mindset of entertaining baby while giving mommy time for a few extra zzzzzz's. On the ceiling, the clouds included shapes like a teddy bear, the letter B, hearts and a bunny to name a few.....There were ladybugs and butterflies scattered throughout the room for her to find and point out.
This room also included a hand made custom chandelier, crib bedding and curtains. For the chandelier, I took an old black chandelier, painted it creme and added custom lampshades. I glued purple satin fabric onto the shades then hot glued on tiny purple flowers that matched the bedding and added a satin rope trim to the edges. To add to the garden theme, I hung fake greenery purchased from the floral department at the local craft store. I then topped it off by making a satin fabric sleeve and bunching it up to hide the chain the chandelier hung from. For the final touch, a Styrofoam medallion was attached to the ceiling at the base of the cord.

This is a master bedroom that has a feminine and at the same time an earthy feel to it. Nature is the prominent theme in this room and I wanted it to be a tranquil space. And I painted the walls myself :
