Our Master Bedroom and Ensuite are finally done! It has truly been a labor of love for us and we are so pleased with the results. Our Inspiration came from the headboard we made from exotic wood screens. From there we created the bedside lighting from Moroccan style lanterns. To pull it all together we found an amazing rock sink. By combining two rooms we created a large open space with an exotic hotel feel that includes a cozy sitting area. The ensuite boasts a wonderful double shower that reminds us of some of the beautiful hotels we have visited.

We have a big porch on our farmhouse that we use quite a bit for entertaining. It is overflowing with little tables, chairs, places to sit, relax with a cup of hot apple cider and enjoy the view of our farm. When it gets chilly out comes cozy quilts, plaid throws and even a fire pit.

This is my 11 month old son's room. It is a light green with blue stripes on one wall and a blue tree on another wall.

We tried to make the space gender neutral, but without using yellow or green on the walls. We ended up with aqua blue with white and orange accents. The room is almost finished but we are waiting for the arrival of the little one prior to putting up some picture frames and perhaps the baby's name over the crib. Dresser, nightstand, chair, stuffed animals, rugs, and bookcase are all from Ikea. Baskets were purchased at Dollarama. Paper Lanterns are from Chinatown. All bedding and other fabric room decor were custom made by me using various fabrics purchased at Fabricland.
We hope our little one enjoys the space as much as we have enjoyed putting it together.

This is my daughter's room. Most of the furniture were re purposed hand me downs. Even some of the accessories (including the paper lanterns were things that I had laying around. I was able to pull it all together with paint and the reoccuring flower and butterfly motif used through out.

My porch was going to be my next project, but in order to save money, I decided to not buy anything new and try to find things I had around the house to make this space be a continuation of the rest of the house decor. So, I had a can of spray paint and began moving things around! Our family loves to surf and stand-up paddle so I put the stand-up paddle book on the shelf. All the candles in lanterns light up, so it's warm and inviting in the evening. I spray painted some of the planters and the table black. So, this is definitely a work-in-progress and uncompleted until I find something else!

I had budgeted myself £43.28 for the overhaul. Why £43.28? Besides that fact that I like to be awkward, I did not want to spend lots of moola on a room which I can see us gutting out and starting again in a few years time. As long as I can refresh the decor and create a clutter free zone I am happy. To keep cost down, I repurposed a lot of items in this room.

Wow! An eye-catching modern aqua and orange nursery with a delightfully reasonable price tag. A Nurseryworks crib serves as the focal point of the room. Colorful accents such as a rug, orange lamp, and baby bedding brighten the space. Paper lanterns hang delicately from the ceiling for a pop of color
A tree wall decal with friendly blue and orange birds and owls from weedecor.com bring softness.

I wanted the space to be sweet, girlie, elegant, with a touch of whimsy. It's Shabby Chic, but with a clean twist reminiscent of 80's pink polo shirts and argyle sweaters.

The room was very dull before but I spruced it up with some hand painted dots/bubbles and paper lanterns! I plan on adding the baby's name on the wall once he or she arrives.
