Out of the whole home, my son (youngest ended up with the smallest bedroom. We wanted to make it fun w/o making it feel like a little kid's room. We replaced the carpet and baseboards, repainted and added curtains, Hawaii photos and a real skimboard.

We have a family room with a fireplace on the basement walkout level with a door to the garage and glass sliding door to the patio off the den. We don't have time to decorate with two lil ones, but we do have some ideas for how to furnish/decorate the two spaces.

This is the room for our 3 yr old son. We just moved the crib into the twins room and created a sort of daybed for him. This room was inspired by his daddy's cowboy items from his youth.

fully finished basement, bar, card table large tv and toy area. the toy area had a beautiful pool table until one week ago when we had it removed and made it a toy area for our one and two year old. we are trying to have an adult space and kid space...and it looks like we just threw all the toys where a pool table used to be.

With a Brother soon to be here my granddaughter wanted a big sister room. Damask, stripes, polka dots & rhinestones were the inspiration for this bedroom. I painted two shades of pink stripes on the wall one color satin finish and the other in a gloss finish. I created a scalloped border around the room with a circular sponge and filled the space in with polka dots. I used fabric patterns of black& white stripes, Black & white damask and black &white polka dots to create all the curtains and to add accents to the damask comforter. I created window cornices for the double window and one for a beautiful background for her bed. I created a vanity out of an end table with an adorable mini chandelier to accent the area. I also created a matching doll bed for her dolls which was the perfect finish for an Amazing Big Sister Bedroom.

We have a 2 bedroom apartment in Manhattan, NY.This small bedroom is shared by my 3 children . My 12 and 9 year old girls, plus there 6 year old brother. It is a 11' x 8' room. When my 2nd child was born we took out the closet and custom built a bed with four drawers underneath. Then when the 3rd child was born we converted the bottom 2 drawers to a trundle bed (mattress is a crib size mattress, cut from foam and built a bunk bed above. The 12 and 9 year old girls are sleeping on foam mattress the width of a crib and about a foot longer. My 12 year old is way too big for her bed and is ready for a twin size mattress. I think the best solution is a horizontal murphy bunk bed with custom drawers/closet on the main wall. Then create a closet and drawers under the bunk bed. This is a fortune to custom build. I clearly need help and specific suggestions!

Bring the outside in. Using bright colors we brighten up our kids "blah" playroom into a place where they would like to spend endless hours of fun. We created a corner where reading under a tree is the most relax thing to do. An entertainment center that gives a light show at night is always fun but also a way to keep everything in its place. A little table just for them to eat or draw. Two blackboards that are also magnetic so they can learn. Mirrors where they can practice their funny faces and enough room to just PLAY!!

This space is in the works...But I'm having a blast doing it!! It's a Toy room for my 3 Boys. And since we are in Base housing and can't do a whole lot, I'm doing as much as I can on the walls to make it a fun room.

This space has been evolving for the past 8 months and still need changes. We need to replace the futon which was only bought for nephews to spend the weekends and we got tired of the beat up look of it. The rug, needs to go !! Everything with glass top is going to be replaced by wood. I want a love seat for this space and chairs.
