  • Retro Rockets and Robots, I decided to go for a unique nursery with my third son on the way. I love the Mod look and the retro robots and rockets keep the space fun and playful. I did this on a very low budget with things I had found used or on sale., Nurseries Design

  • My $17.00 kitchen makeover, We are renting right now and this kitchen was GROSS! I couldn't live with it. The dark cabinets and the green laminate counter tops had to go! If I had money (and owned the house) I would have done things differently....like granite, new appliances etc. But I did what I could to make it look better and it is all done with paint. Total project cost: $17.00., Kitchens Design

  • Painted kitchen with wood island, The ceilings are 10' tall so we had the cabinets go all the way up. All of the upper cabinets have lights inside and the boxes were built of alder and stained to match the island. The island has a flush eating ledge to give me a larger prep area. We added a small phone desk with upper glass cabinets across from the nook made use of a very odd space. I did all of the design work and my husband built it he is such a great craftsman!!! • This Young House's Living Room, Our living room was a nightmare when we purchased the house two years ago but we whipped it into shape with a little elbow grease and some nice neutral furniture. We even added a dining area off of the kitchen to enjoy a more open floorplan and better use our loooong living room. • Fauxabulous Painted Kitchen, My husband and I totally gutted this kitchen moving plumbing walls appliances basically everything to try to get the most out of the small space. We really wanted a unique look on a budget so we decided on the wainscoting for a back splash which I then aged with a glaze. The walls are textured and glazed and then I had added a raised leaf using a stencil scattered throughout. P.S. - Please disregard the stove. That is the next to be updated : ), Kitchens Design

  • The look for a lot less-before & after, transitional kitchen style. i spent a lot of time pricing and revising plan to achieve a custom kitchen look without the price tag. because i love to cook but hate to clean, function was just as important as aesthetics. behind pocket door (left of ovens) is my pantry with custom looking cabinets and wood countertops (home depot unfinished cabinets w/ trim molding added and salvaged wood countertops) w/ built-in microwave and prep sink. • Budget Living Room Remodel, A few months back I decided to give my living room a complete makeover, something it has needed since we moved in almost seven years ago. Since we don't have alot of extra money I knew I was going to have to do some serious bargain shopping and that my husband and I were going to have to take on some challenging DIY projects that we were definitely skeptical about, but our minds were made up and we were going through with it, there was no turning back.

Three and a half months later our living room transformation was complete.I a™m pleased to announce that my husband and I successfully installed crown moulding, put up wainscot paneling and built a fireplace overmantle in our living room all for $300.00. In addition, we were able to find all of the furniture and decorative accents to furnish the entire living room for $2,931.

For $3,331 we were able to give our Living Room a Complete Makeover.

  • Good Bones - Just Needed a Facelift!, This kitchen was in need of a major update. We removed the exterior window over the kitchen sink and opened it up into the sunroom with sit at bar (which used to be a screened in porch). Then we opened up the pass through window so that it was a little more open into the living room. Added new cabinets, lighting and wood floors though the entire main level. , Kitchens Design

  • Modern / Industrial Kitchen Remodel, We started by painting the walls. After 3 attempts at trying to find the right color we finally settled on Benjamin Moore-Kingsport Gray. We moved on to painting the cabinets black and changing out the hardware with pulls we bought from Ebay Store "Hinges and More". We retrofit the kitchen sink cabinet to fit a new farmhouse sink. We added under cabinet and overhead lighting. We hired a fabricator to install the Giallo Beach granite we picked out for the countertop and the Bedrosian Ice Crackle MGICG2 Mosaic Glass tile backsplash. I ordered the island/table from the IKEA - Udden Console. By removing the backsplash on the console I was able to repurpose, what is meant to be a cabinet base, for additional workspace and seating., Kitchens Design

  • Star and Moon...Neutral Nursery, Maybe since I just dismantled this nursery I am feeling sentimental, as my baby(s) are growing up. I just adored this room and have the fondest of memories. It was so peaceful and serene in there. The yellow is THE most beautiful, soft yellow color...it was warm without being harsh and then paired with the periwinkle blue and crisp white. Perfect for any baby, pink or blue. (we added stripes between baby1 and baby2...so you will see some pics with and some without)., Nurseries Design
