  • old school mario, My husband and I are old school gamers. So when we found out we were having a boy it was a no brainer. Super Mario Bro. themed nursery. I hand made stencils with photoshop and started painting. It took a few months to complete. Which was a good way to pass the time while I was pregnant. It's an awesome room for a little boy to grow into. , Nurseries Design

  • Open Sesame!-Remodel B&A, This 70's house family room was dated, dark, and dreary. By opening up the wall it really updated this family room space, while adding lots of natural light. This was a failry simple fix that changed the whole and feel of the house. That 70's angular paneling had to go too!, Living Rooms Design

  • Cottage kitchen, We redesigned our kitchen on a budget. The cabinets were in rough shape. We had aqua green counter tops, and stick on tile floors. We painted and added crown molding to the cabinets, and added granite counters. I love wood floors in a kitchen, because I think it adds warmth. The bonus to our kitchen is that it came with a huge fireplace which adds to the character. Someday, when budget permits I would love to upgrade the cabinets and build cabinets around the fridge. For now I am enjoying the work we put in so far:) , Kitchens Design

  • Girls Dorm Room-Fun & Functional with homemade headboards, Your typical dorm room with the drab block walls that we aren't allowed to paint.... as moms we all try to create that home away from home feeling for our children leaving the nest!! Of course, those 1st pics of "our" creation for them is the only time it will look great! - Neat & clean, etc.! So these were taken on moving day! We made matching headboards & my talented mother pitched in on the sewing of the dustruffles! The comforter & pillows I got from PB teen! - Along with the splurge on the rug (which was actually the inspiration for the room!) We had the old bulletin board & painted that to match. Our daughter loved her "new" room!, Dorm Rooms Design

  • The look for a lot less-before & after, transitional kitchen style. i spent a lot of time pricing and revising plan to achieve a custom kitchen look without the price tag. because i love to cook but hate to clean, function was just as important as aesthetics. behind pocket door (left of ovens) is my pantry with custom looking cabinets and wood countertops (home depot unfinished cabinets w/ trim molding added and salvaged wood countertops) w/ built-in microwave and prep sink. • Painted and glazed cabinets, What do you do when you have quality cabinets but hate the dark color? You paint and glaze them. This small kitchen was perfectly fine but the homeowner wanted a lighter feel. We painted the cabinet and then added new hardware and a glaze for that special touch. I even painted a small table for her daughter that coordinates with her Mackenzie-Childs collection. I only wish that I took a before picture! , Kitchens Design

  • Fun with Picasso, I wanted to get rid of my oak cabinets but cannot remodel so my latest endeavor (when we first moved in I had painted them a cream color) was painting the cabinets in a rustic zebra wood and a mural that wraps the island. Our counters and back splash are gray concrete with a small stripe of glass tiles. Far from the norm! We love it! I'm now thinking of painting the bottom cabinets black. Any thoughts? The countertops are actually a top coat so they're not poured. No grout to clean. Easy to maintain and very happy with them., Kitchens Design
