I adore flowers, so when we landscaped the front of our home, I chose all flowering shrubs and perennials. It gives our house a charming, friendly feeling. I just love it.

This is an apartment - with large windows, that bring in great light! The room serves three purposes: kitchen, eating area, and living room...all in one. It was a bit of challenge to work with one big open space. We started with the colorful ottoman and worked around that. I was a bit worried about combining all the different styles of furniture but am hoping it worked out! (vintage ottoman, retro leather chair, modern bar stools, and French country table. Overall, I feel pretty comfortable in the space and think it turned out allright.

We haven't done much in here except paint the walls a neutral beige color. I would love some color inspiration... I tend to lean towards "safe" colors, and feel stumped with this living room. With our dark wood trim and our brown and beige furnishings I have no idea what color would look good on the walls. Any suggestions???

We pulled up the carpet and put in hardwood floors and painted. Used existing furniture, but changed accessories to include red accents and new window treatments. We were hoping to make the room warm and inviting, and I think we pulled it together. But would greatly appreciate any comments given for improvements.

Large great room with open kitchen. Want contemporary style with a Mediterranean feel. Was inspired by HGTV 2009 Home sweepstakes to use the Cosmos (blue in some areas - not finished and not sure if we should...and Bagel in our hallway and up the stairs. Then unsure about our flooring. Still have vinyl in kitchen area, and pulled up most of the carpet in great room. Don't know if stained concrete, tile, or wood floors would suit us best financially and with little ones and dogs. Suggestions welcomed.

HI HGTV viewers! This is a picture of our living and dining area. We are in over our heads! I originally sent pics for ideas, but now we are expecting our second child (hope all goes well and I am limited to helping my poor husband with the many projects we have started. Currently we have some carpeting, little tile by front door, and concrete. Our orignial project was to do stained concrete and new carpeting. I wish I could take the some of the HGTV shows and just place them in my rooms. I would love to have a finished home someday...especially now with a little one on the way.

The kitchen was renovated before we moved into the house. I would prefer to change the cabinets and of course I would love to have new appliances and a new dining set but we made due with what we had.

I created a guest room for my brother who is coming to visit for Christmas. I wanted the room to feel festive and cozy. I purchased a red comforter set and some pillows. I also brought in a large scale mirror and placed it behind the bed which acts like a headboard. I added some lit garland and hung a holiday wreath from the middle of the mirror. I think the room feels warm and cozy. I hope you like it and I hope my brother enjoys his visit and is comfortable in our new guest room. = Happy Holidays!

Finally finished painting the living room and entry to flow with dining room. Still need crown molding for all areas but working slowiy to get all done within budget. Hope you like and any suggestions are welcome.
