  • Pink & Brown Heaven, This is Kristen's room painted in pink and off-white with a brown ribbon. It's got a high ceiling that is perfect for the pretty off-white chandelier. The theme is dragonflies and ladybugs. My four year old daughter did the art work (with a little help)., Nurseries Design

  • Houndstooth and Burberry Plaid , For our second son's nursery, we went opposite of the first (which had subdued pastels)--deep rich colors and ageless appeal. The houndstooth upholstery weight fabric was the starting point-a huge steal at Wal-Mart of all places. , Nurseries Design

  • Den/Family Room, The den has a very old Ralph Lauren feel to it.The fabrics are inspired by men's suiting. The antique demijohns and French bistro table used as a side table add to the warm feel of the room. , Living Rooms Design

  • Eclectic Bedroom, My room is a mixture of things from when I was a teenager and things as I now enter my twenties. I'm slowly trying to merge into a more mature style but I'm not exactly sure which way to go. I love retro eclectic and glam design. Any suggestions would be great! The houndstooth coverlet is new and the blue walls must stay blue. Thanks!, Bedrooms Design

  • CoNtEmPoRaRy LiViNg RoOm, My living room is neutral with a splash of green. When I want to change the color it will be very easy and simple to do. We painted the walls(Potter's Clay from Glidden) added the recessed lights and my husband built a shelf on the side of the fireplace for all the electronics. The fabric on the chair is in a HOUNDSTOOTH print along with the ottoman but a much smaller print. I took the pictures at night without my flash to show the lights better and the dark walnut blinds. , Living Rooms Design

The rest of the bedding came from Target at clearance prices! I can do a lot with a tiny budget!! I will have more pictures of the room when it's finished!

  • Winter Solstice Slumber, I did simple winter styling for dashing through the throws this holiday season! I had gotten inspired with the pattern mix of paisley & plaid while I was setting our Thanksgiving table. I used what I already have - A pair of paisley tablecloths clipped as window panels, paisley PB pillow covers I had used LY on our sofa, a houndstooth throw from Target and the houndstooth RL Sheets I picked up at Homegoods [for only $35]. Previously for holiday, I'd add more red, but this year I just added a dash with one red velevet pillow cover on the bed, a pair of red ticking stripe covers on the pair of thrifted directors chairs [previously in the dining room] and one red quilted pillow cover used to pop the Barcelona chair in the corner. To maintain the blacks & whites in our room, I also created a small collection [salon styled] of our NYC wedding photos - previously located in our stairway.

I also utilized the simple red berry sprays I had: I mixed them into the two white vase arrangements [which were in the dining room for Thanksgiving], added the berries to a frosted winter wreath on the mirror above the bed, and lastly added berries to the two vesels on either side of the room. One last winter touch: putting up my two Ansel Adams winter prints and the Central Park horse drawn carriage print above the TV. Happy Winter!! Happy Holidays!! And Happy Inspirations!!, Bedrooms Design
