Two little princesses started with a plain light gray room. With the purchase of new bunk beds & new polka dot bedding, we needed something girly to jazz up the new space. We taped off horizontal stripes to coordinate, and the attached bath uses polka dots in the coordinating colors and the same princess theme. It uses bubble gum pink, lime green, light teal/turquoise, and tan/khaki. The wall of baskets was pricey but is invaluable storage for toys and such. The whole project was kid-friendly and fun and on a budget.

My daughter decided she wanted a room makeover instead of a party for her 10th birthday. We used her favorite colors...lime green and hot pink and lots of fun zebra print accessories

We had all of the linens custom made for less than buying everything in a store already made. I saw the damask pattern and fell in love. I forgot to move the blanket off the chair before the picture so please ignore that :

My daughter loves geometric prints but wanted a girly room too. I pulled the colors from the throw pillows to pull the room together. The sheer pink curtains are embroiderd with beeds and sequence too. This room was meant to transition her from late childhood into early teens in the next year or so. The main color pallete was aqua pink and lime.

I just came home from school and I wanted to make my room happy and fun. I used feathers and animal prints and bright colors to bring some life to my horrible room.

This is my sophomore dorm room. I envisioned what I wanted in my head so I looked everywhere for it. No one made it so I ended up designing and my mom sewed it all. A few months later the store carried the exact same reversable duvet cover we had made!

Baby girl nursery with bright pink, lime, and turquoise in happy floral theme with little garden bug accents. Also incorporates Fisher Price Rainforest accessories.
From early on, I knew I didn't want a traditional pale pink girl nursery. I wanted something happy and bright.
I really wanted to do lime and turquoise and ideally I was hoping to do it in florals, but most of the sets I found were very boyish. I actually ordered 3 crib sets and sent them back before I found one that had the right shades and colors that I was looking for. From there, I searched for coordinating fabrics and accessories to personalize the space and really tie my colors together. It ended up including pink after all, but a very bright happy pink which fit nicely with what I had in mind.
I spent $1,000 on the furniture and about another $500 in paint and decor. But my parents bought a few things for the room and my best friend paid for the custom made window treatments and a few other things. So in total, we probably have about $2,000-$2,200 in the room.
She's 7 months old now and LOVES her room! She's loves looking around at all the bright colors and accessories.

This space has faux metal sheeting on the top with a real pink and purple fire effect painted/airbrushed on the bottom portion. The trim and chair rail are decked in metallic pearl pink and purple paint. Metal lockersa accent the and mirror the walls, while the beaded window treatment gives it a girls touch. Bamboo laminate was installed to give it more of an urban feel.
