  • Our little dude's ranch!, We chose a cowboy theme for our son's nursery. I did a faux blue jean painting technique on the walls. We installed a chair rail around the room, which I stenciled colorful cowboy pictures above. My mom sewed the window treatments and viola - a fun and inviting baby boy's room was born!, Boys' Rooms Design

  • In the vally with the horses, I painted this mural I discussed the theme with a cute little seven year old. She wanted one of every kind of horse. We then added a rainbow a apple tree and some sunflowers. On the other side of the room I painted large butterflies. She had just been to a butterfly farm and remembered something special with each butterfly I painted. If you would like to see more of my work check out my website:, Girls' Rooms Design

  • Girls' Horse Room, This is a horse room that I did for a 7 year girl. I airbrushed the grass and clouds and used the horse and rider that were on the quilt as the main part of the mural. I made my own stencil from the flower on the bedding. The barn was made from paneling and cedar strips. , Girls' Rooms Design

  • Carousel Horse, After removing the framework from a child's bouncing horse, I mounted it on a closet rod and used a patio umbrella base as a stand. I covered the holes left from the frame attachments and lightly sanded the horse.

Several coats of white spray paint gave me a good background on which to work. I painted the saddle using the markings provided and added plenty of one stroke painted flowers. I also painted the base before adding silver trim, flowers, ribbons and beaded reins.

The non descript brown horse was soon transformed into a brightly colored carousel horse ready to decorate any young girls room or nursery. It's also a fantastic addition to someone's carousel collection.

  • Emma's Baby Room, We moved into a new build, and all the walls were white. When we found out that our second child would be a girl, I got to work on the nursery. I wanted to do something that would be able to still work as she got older. It is almost complete. The one thing left I want to do is to put up white bead board wainscoting where the wall is white. It started with an idea I had for the wall treatment, using stencils and freehand painting. I used 2 different colors of pink to give a depth and dimension to the graphic treatment. Then I found a fabric that matched and sewed the bedding. The table in the room was salvaged from a friends garage. She was going to throw it away because it was in terrible shape. I sanded and refinished to match our existing baby furniture., Nurseries Design
