This is our Downstairs Family Rm. Its done in an African animal print theme. There is a buit in Bar. It use to be Red white & blue. Planes trains automobiles wallpaper with stripes. I like it for the most part but my husband wants to change it into a Media Rm. He says we need color because our entire house is beige and brown. But I love earth tones.

Come on in I'll put a fire in the fireplace and you can grab that fuzzy soft throw and we'll curl up on the sofa for a good movie. Or do you feel like snuggling in with a good book...there are some good mysteries here on the shelf. This room is covered in judges paneling so I decided to go with a "hunt" theme using lots of jewel tones. Hope you enjoy the tour and please come visit me at: http://betweennapsontheporch.blogspot.com/

I thought I would show you all the room that my brother practically furnished throughout(He's an antique refurbisher. The cabinet I purchased for $12 at a tag sale and he completely refinished it as a surprise. The dining table top is part of an old barnhouse sent over from England. This was my Christmas present a few years ago. The blanket box....a surprise too!!! Isn't this guy something special?!!!

This bedroom was used for storage until we decided to rent the room out furnished. I've had one week to remove all the clutter paint buy furniture and accessories and put together a design for the tiny room/bath. I decided on a contemporary space with pale blue walls dark furniture and glass accent pieces. I can't put to much of a personal touch on the room as it is a rental now. I did splurge on the light fixtures however. Thanks for viewing.

This room was truly hideous before we started. I still hate it. I need help : I'm thinking of moving the towel bar to closer to the mirror to the left wall of the basin. I just don't seem to get the look I'm after. Any comments appreciated! Thanks

This bathroom is in the downstairs level of our tri-level. It was awful before and I wish I would've thought to take before pictures. With no budget for a remodel I used flea-market finds and 3 colors of paint to update the space. The sink countertop is goldish-yellow the shower is gold and the toilet was cream so I had to go through a couple of colors before I found something that I was happy with. The paint is Light Pistachio by Benjamin Moore and I'm pretty sure I used the eggshell finish.

The living room has an awkward layout with a sectional sofa that we have split up, a railing around two walls, an outdated entertainment center (in my opinion and light fixture, and one wall that is half a spindal wall. The doorway to the laundry room is also hard to work around. Dimensions of the room are aprx. 21ftx12ft

We just finished hiring contractors to remodel our upstairs bathrooms and decided to tackle the basement bathroom all on our own. This DIY project, costing under $1,000, involved removing linoleum on the floor, putting in large rectangular ceramic tile on the floor; putting up wainscoting; and installing a new vanity, toilet, mirror, medicine cabinet, lights, and all new fixtures. We chose Rapture Blue paint color by Sherwin-Williams to brighten up the space and used Behr Swiss Coffee paint for the wainscoting and ceiling. The space went from drab white walls and country theme basement bathroom, to bright and cheery spa blue. One of our favorite little touches was the concealed medicine cabinet.

This is the basement in our new home. We plan on completely remodeling this space. Connected to it is a bedroom as well as a small kitchen. The room is at ground level so there is great sunlight that comes in through the windows.
