This is my kitchen that we have been slowly and inexpensively updating. If you saw it before hand you would be surprised! The cabinets were green. So we've painted the cabinets the walls added under counter lighting and recently I added the bright blue and black accents in towels and the chandelier thingy. Let me know what you think!

This bathroom hasn't been touched since at least the 1970's. We have many limitations with space, but it is much brighter and cleaner. Clawfoot Tub was turned into a shower with new fixtures.

Charming white kitchen with gray-blue walls, white cabinets, white appliances, and pot luck furniture that doesn't go, and beautiful oak wood floors! We changed out the light fixture to replace what the previous owners had and we replaced the gold knobs for the pewter knobs for the cabinets. The worst part about our kitchen is the "rainbow" Formica counter tops in which I believe makes this kitchen lose it's beauty. We painted the walls blue-gray to "match" the formica. Look at the BEFORE pictures to see the transformation that a little paint can do!

This is my son's new snazzy room! It includes white painted stripes, red and gray striped bunting banner with twine, personalized name, and Bible verse wall art.(everything was handmade, the only exception being the wood letters Z and P I was able to make everything in the room, including the white painted stripes, for less than $60! The most expensive thing was the paint. This is a room he can definitely use for many years ahead. Not too babyish! :

My two year old son's big boy bedroom. We moved him from a crib into his new twin bed! Its a small space so I painted wide gray stripes in two shades to open it up. There is a very subtle alphabet theme- most of it I just printed myself. It could easily be changed to a different theme later as his interests expand. : Let me know what you think!

This is the nursery for our soon-to-be adopted newborn son Silas. It was a labor of love to decorate and was done on a very small budget. The room is about 100 sf so we had to get creative with space planning! We used paint and the addition of stipes as an inexpensive way to transform the room. We thought the stripes would give the room movement and make the space feel bigger. We welcome any comments on how to enhance the space.

Our Townhome was built in 1980. It's 900 sq ft. Decorating our Living Room on a Budget.
*UPDATE!!!* We moved our sectional sofa against the wall and separate the other half to have open space. Then, we painted the wall to light gray, got a side table, a bigger coffee table and added table lamp & pendant lamp. We replace the picture frames on the foyer area with mirror.

This is a update on our space of my living room in military housing, in San Diego, CA. I try to make this space feel as warm as possible at a very low cost. My husband did purchase this sectional which was expensive, but all of the accessories including tables, vases pictures etc. are thrift store bought. The mirrors are from walmart. The paint on vaulted accent wall is a grayish blue maybe??? and the carpet is gray. Need help with window curtains and area rug ideas. Hopefully we will be purchasing our first home within the next year, so we will be taking everything with us. Thanks for all you guys support and input!!

This is our bedroom. Started out with pasty white everything from the floor to the ceilings. Ick!! The hubby & I decided we absolutely needed COLOR! Throughout the condo we decided to used different tones of grays & blues which gives each space a warmer feel.We've only been in our new home for a month so more photos will follow as we update and settle in! Let's see: how does chipping paint and old dingy linoleum sound? We've got gray plastic tiles on the walls and whales on the bottom of the tub. Our sink toilet and tub/shower are all turquoise - definitely not our favorite color! And the dirty caulk between the shower walls and tub makes me shiver at the thought of taking a bath! Please rate it!
