  • Help with master bedroom paint color, please!, Hey Everybody!

I am very happy with everything now in my master bedroom, but am completely stymied as to which paint color I should chose. Please chime in with your ideas! I was going for a golden color previously, but I think it would make my wonderful golden fabrics less prominent. Look forward to your comments. Thanks in advance!!, Bedrooms Design

  • The Second Bathroom, We finally updated our second bath on a limited budget. We originally painted a chartreuse green but we have to admit we looked terrible in the morning and it only pointed out the gold fixtures. Everything we need was either from Ikea or Lowes and price was always a concern. The biggest improvement was definitely the shower door but, oh my, it was tougher than it looks to install!
Our morning faces are definitely better with the white walls., Bathrooms Design

  • gold room, I painted the accent wall metallic gold. The rest of the walls are half orange and half chocolate brown. For the "chair rail" part, I used wide black ribbon with gold ribbon through the middle. The bed is a beautiful scrolled metal with a white canopy over it., Bedrooms Design

  • Main floor powder room makeover, Large powder room between foyer and living room. Because of the support beam in the open concept living room, I had to incorporate my storage closet into the powder room on the main floor. With the window room, I had room to refinish my Moms 1930's chair and place for a seating area, and add a stone accent wall and replace the vanity. the stone is AirStone sold at Lowes and I love it!, Bathrooms Design

  • Warm & Spicy Dining, Inspired by the bold colors of spices, we warmed up our victorian dining room, where we entertain often. The light changes throughout the day, changing the ambience from bright & cheerful, to seductively dramatic. I have my eye on a pair of turquoise velvet chairs for the ends of the table, drawing the color from the rug, and the adjoining living room., Dining Rooms Design

  • Rehabbing a Hoarder's Home - Master Bath, Obviously, need to work on my "Before" pics... ! In this room, the dated (blue, gold, green) linoleum floors were worn bare, the sink (which the owner is quite attached to - stylish pedestal sink would look great) was rusted and heavily stained, filthy, walls faded and patch painted, various nicks over the years and water damage... Then the most beautiful floor squares (self adhesive type, BUT... with MORE adhesive) were ALL over the walls (again, blue and green scroll design). Removed all those (which a hammer and pry bar), drywalled and to match the rest of the house, darkened the trim. Lastly, poured concrete floor which is in process of staining then seal. All this room right around 30 - give or take, including decor., Bathrooms Design

  • First year landscaping project, The yard was very boring and plain when we bought the house. I have no previous experience with landscaping or gardening so go easy on me.
I live in a small city but grew up in the country and love the rustic look. I cut down some of the trees at my parents house and built a small trellis to frame the yard with a firepit (we have two sides to the yard, this is the larger side for adult entertaining/veggie garden). I have started with a small veggie garden patch and a cement walkway dividing the garden from the entertaining area. Re-seeded the grass since it was pretty brown and patchy. This spring I'll be working on it some more., Yards Design
