  • Thing 1's nursery, We are expecting our first child and we are not sure if it is a girl or a boy. We are both avid readers, so Dr. Seuss was a natural choice.
We started by priming the walls and sketching the characters on the walls in pencil. I tried to use a projector to trace the images. This was not helpful at all, so I just hand drew the pics by looking at the characters from books.
We then painted all of the walls. We traced each character with a sharpie to finish the looks.
Turned out better than we could have ever expected!, Nurseries Design

  • Kara's Room, After 3 boys it was a lot of fun to create a room for our baby girl (due in a few days!). The bedding set is called "Spring Butterfly" from PBK. I wanted a room that was clean and crisp yet comforting and reflected my love of nature., Nurseries Design

  • William's Nursery, We fell in love with the bunny bedding wandering around Babies R Us before we even knew if we were having a boy or a girl and everything came off of that. We wanted a nursery that we could be happy in as well as the little one and we have definitely achieved that. I LOVE this room and have already started to think about how to transition it to be a 2 kid room when the time comes without having to redo everything!

Everything was done budget friendly - the economy has not been kind to us - so keeping costs low was key. A lot of rewards points, craftiness, reuse of furniture, and gifts were how we managed. , Nurseries Design

  • Modern Baby Boy nursery on a Budget! , We wanted a Modern Boy nursery that looked design quality without the high designer cost.....our total cost including all supplies and furniture was under $800! The ceiling pieces were cut from 5/8" plywood and painted to match the block wall. We gave the look of crown molding by taping and painting to create this illusion. We were inspired by another design we found and improved upon it to fit our own style and taste. We used no VOC paint throughout and organic bedding. , Nurseries Design

  • Riley Madison's Nursery, As a first-time mom, I spent countless hours obsessing over my little girl's nursery. I just wanted everything to be perfect! The design is clean and modern, with a classic color theme consisting of pink, brown, and white. The majority of the decor was purchased from Restoration Hardware Baby & Child. The furniture was purchased at Babies-r-Us and is from the new Carter's line of furniture. , Nurseries Design

  • Pretty in Pink, This nursery is both chic and whimsical. A room that any little girl would love to have from infancy to tween. The unique lines of the ceiling lent itself beautifully to doing something fun and creative. Instead of ignoring all the doors in the space I turned them into a decorative feature. Plans are to add a chandelier and area rug as well as frame the mirror in the dressing area with a wide black molding.

  • Riley's pink and green nursery, I wanted a space that was unique and sweet for our first baby girl. So I painted a diamond pattern with two shades of pink and roses at each point. I chose pink white and green for the fabrics. I painted the dresser white with green panels on the side and each drawer a different pattern. On the windows and on the canopy I used sheer panels with white ebroidered polka dots. (the green fabric is showing up as a yucky pea green and it is really more like a celery green)., Nurseries Design

  • Rory's Gender Neutral Nursery, This is the bonus room accessible only from the master bedroom. It doubled as our shoe closet/overflow and home office. When we found out we were having another child, it seemed the perfect place to house our new addition. We did not find out if we were having a boy or a girl so we needed a room that would work for either gender. The room was a drab brown (previous owners) so we brightened it up with light grays and whites to make the space appear larger and feel more airy. Since it's still the room where the family gets ready for the day, we kept the TV but moved it to the wall. the built-ins hide the must-haves and we've corralled the shoes into their own space. The crib and bedding is Pottery Barn, the rocker is Land of Nod, the art is from Etsy, the rug is from Rugs USA, the changing table is a re-finished flea market score, and the drapes are West Elm. , Nurseries Design

  • Our Baby Girl's Custom Pink and Green Nursery, I created this nursery for our baby girl, who is due next month (in May), and customized virtually every aspect of the room. All of the crib bedding, drapes, pillows, and throws are custom made and sewed by my mom and I. Also, the bassinet was handmade as well (using an inexpensive frame). I painted the room myself, and customized each item (wall art, picture frames, crib mobile, etc) using paint, trim, and imagination!! I hope you enjoy the nursery!! I couldn't be happier with how it turned out!! The only thing that is missing is a matching rug for the open floor space!, Nurseries Design

  • Princess Posh Nursery!, My wife and I worked for about 3 months painting and installing the wainscoting for our little girl's nursery. We decided to go for a very pink, posh, and Parisian themed room. We are very excited for our little princess to arrive in July so she can love the room as much as we do!, Nurseries Design
