  • Princess Posh Nursery!, My wife and I worked for about 3 months painting and installing the wainscoting for our little girl's nursery. We decided to go for a very pink, posh, and Parisian themed room. We are very excited for our little princess to arrive in July so she can love the room as much as we do!, Nurseries Design

  • Molly's sunshine filled sunroom, This is our...well technically Molly the bunny's sunroom. This is where she spends her days. We let her loose when we are home to watch her and the dogs are on the deck. She loves to lay on top of the air conditioning vents and to sit on the sofa to look out on her kingdom. Okay enough of Molly. The quilt on the wall was a yard sale find for $3.00. The hoosier I have had for almost 20 years and was purchased at auction. It houses our stereo., Porches Design

  • Kara's Cottage Style Nursery, Our new daughters room was a plain white box. We added the pine boards to the bottom of the walls to add some character and painted the top half apple green. Pink was used as an accent color. This room was done on a budget. I made the bedding and wall art. The crib is a yard sale find we painted., Nurseries Design

  • Elegant Girl Nursery, This nursery was designed by my mother and me. This room was planned with a small budget and no professional help. Everything was painted and made ourselves. The bedding was made of remnants of fabric from "The Cotton Patch." We had a very small space to work with but we had a great time doing it! The nursery is painted peach with gold damask stenciled walls. The crib is a venetian gold canopy with custom gold and cream satin and silk bedding. An antique white armoire sits in the corner lined with pink toile fabric. A personalized "A" is painted on the wooden cornice board that tops the window. Underneath are cream shears for curtains. Gold and peach hand-painted sconces hang on each side of the closet door. The peach gerber daisies that frame the mirror add a whimsical touch to the elegant room. A simple cream minky dot chair is in another corner of the room with a peach silk and white lace pillow where a cute bunny sits. The area rug is made of flowers in a soft cream and tan. Hanging on the peach walls are two small canvases with paintings of topiaries in scrolled urns and sweet birds and bunnies. , Nurseries Design

  • Storybook Cottage Nursery, Our goal was to create a whimsical space for our little pumpkin to dream in that was warm and cozy, while bright and cheerful. With a tiny budget (about $350 including the crib), a multitude of leftover paint, years worth of fabric remnants, a few heirloom pieces, and all the ingenuity we could muster, we created this room for her.

  • Poppie's Candy Land Nursery, My daughter, Poppie Ainsley's room was inspired by the board game Candy Land. We began the process by painting the room a great Tiffany blue color and then candy striped the ceiling pink, red and white (talk about a tough task at seven months pregnant!). I then painted the Candy Land mural on one wall. We kept the cost of the room low by using a floor model "Toys R Us" Amy Coe Crib and Target Furniture. Little accents like polka dotted knobs made the pieces look way more expensive than they actually were! I painted a clearance mirror frame bright red and balanced the color of the room with the round, white rug. Finally candy was placed in glass jars through out the room. We love it! I hope you do as well :), Nurseries Design
