  • Jolie's Place, The inspriration for my daughter's nursery came from a green elephant bedding set I found and from here I designed a sophisticated space with a fun lively color scheme. We love the results and she seems to as well! The best part of this space is that it can very easily grow with her., Nurseries Design

  • Crisp & clean with a touch of green, We recently remodeled the original kitchen in our 1980's ranch house. Luckily, it had "good bones"--large kitchen/family room area, so no expansion was necessary and no walls needed to be removed. The old kitchen was not very functional, primarly because the large cooktop on the island left only 12 inches of countertop around it, so I was limited to using one small counter area for prepping, baking, etc. After cooking in it for almost three years and taking mental notes on how to make it better, we embarked on the big remodel. Now it is a beautiful, clean space that several people can work in comfortably, and it is great for entertaining thanks to flip flopping a desk and bar area. As part of the remodel, we replaced a bookcase that was in the adjacent family room and redid the fireplace as well, using elements from the kitchen to pull it all together. Enduring a remodel with two young kids was not easy, but now this is a beautiful space my whole family enjoys spending time in, so that makes it all worth it!, Kitchens Design

  • Tuscan Red Kitchen, Love love love my kitchen. This is what sold me on the house. Since my last post I have added valances as well as the accessories on the counter tops. I recently became a Southern Living at Home consultant so most of the extra accessories come from there. The valances I lucked up on at Wal-mart for $4 each!! The wall color is spiced rum. , Kitchens Design

  • Help! Transforming a Bat Cave into a Sustainable Haven, When we first toured our (soon-to-be) house and walked upstairs to see a large, open living room and master suite, we fell in love. It had worn floors we loved and a nice cozy feel. Since then, we have become first time home buyers and have found ourselves at a loss. We know how much potential the space has, but aren't sure how to unlock it. I don't think we've been successful in subdividing the space, the lack of natural light has been a challenge, and I would love to have a little more definition to the master bedroom. In short... we need help! Feedback and suggestions would be appreciated!, Living Rooms Design

  • My Safari Sanctuary, This is the family bathroom is our small ranch style home. We had to gut the 5x8 ft space to get rid of the horrible marble paneling, chocolate toilet, chocolate brown tub and glued on surround. We replaced the tub and toilet with biscuit colored ones from Kohler. We purchased a furniture style vanity and installed porcelan tiles on the floor and coordinating ones around the tub. We placed the floor tiles on a diagonal to elongate the space and selected a tranquil sage green for the walls to add a pop of color., Bathrooms Design
