We gutted our living room down to the drywall. This was not my typical style but after finding this furniture at a great deal, it was the focus of my design. It was a lot of fun to find accents for it. Hope you enjoy it! We are loving it!!
You will notice the walls and carpet are neutral, we are just basically staging to sell. So very neutral tones!!

I wanted my daughter's nursery to be the typical girly pink room, but with a little twist- giraffe print. My husband installed wainscoting and painted vertical stripes on the walls using two shades of pink. The dresser and crib are from Target, the chair is from Costco, and the bookshelf was a hand-me-down that I painted black. The bedding and bumpers were custom made and the valance was sewn by my mom.

The goal in designing my son's room was that it be colorful, full of texture & three-dimensional. Each scene is made up of at least three layers of media. I tried to carry the jungle theme throughout the nursery by having branches continue through the verticle blinds & appear on the next wall. The trees were made out of foam board. Then we added contact paper, jungle themed paper & various layers of greenery. The animal photos were taken at various zoos & blown up to poster size (20 x 30. We cut them out & glued them to poster board then adhered them to the wall with liquid nails. We used various shades of grasses & cattails over a green hill for the baby zebra scene. The cheetah's rock was painted with Ralph Lauren River Rock paint to add a rough texture & completed the scene with tall grass. Finally, the orangutan & giraffe have manilla rope & netting to give them an extra layer. These will be removed once our baby boy is old enough to cause any havoc! ; It was a huge project that my niece, nephew & I worked on during my maternity leave. One pleasant surprise in the design was the movement in the greenery when the ceiling fan is on. The gentle rustling of the leaves & grass add a nice touch that really makes the room come alive. The nursery turned out just as I had hoped & I'm thrilled every time my newborn son curiously stares around at the jungle in his room!

This is the entrance to the master suite of a client's home in Potomac Maryland.
I put a lot of research time for this project to not only incorporate the larger animals to the walls, but also to incorporate the smaller animals which are either endangered, or extinct American species.
So you can have a perspective of size. The leopard above the entrance door is life size.

I selected one of my Characters "Edu The giraffe" to create this room. Everything from the headboard to the shades were created by hand. The headboard is plain blue but we create fabric applications with Edu as well as other characters in order change the headboard decoration as many times as the client wanted. I used the same applications for the artwork, I painted 2 empty frames and put inside an star application both of them. This room was my first project. Looking forward to hear your comments!

I created this gender-neutral jungle nursery for my 1st grandbaby. In the excitement I got a little carried away-I painted animals sewed curtains bedding cushions footstool mobile etc. I refinished family furniture; even my child's old rocking horse got a makeover. Don't worry the swag and bumper/ties will be removed at the appropriate time.

Baby boy's room with a jungle theme and unconventional color scheme of greens and browns. This nursery incorporates bold espresso furniture and fun zebra print rug. I hope our baby likes it :-

I made this for my friend's grandbaby. I cut it out of MDF (medium density fiberboard. I just copied the image directly from the crib bedding. Sorry about the picture it's not very good!

We didn't find out if we were having a boy or a girl, so it started out gender neutral. After we had our baby girl, I added some pink to make it more girly. The bedding is from Pottery Barn Kids and I did the oil paintings myself on canvas to match the bedding.
