  • Living Room Harris House, This is the Living Room. The doors to both this room, and into the dining room are about 50 inches wide. We removed the doors and stored them in garage attic. This room also features top and bottom frame moldings. The room boasts an arts and crafts styled wallpaper with shades of blue, green and terra-cotta on a cream background.

In front of you are french doors to the Sun Room. To the right of the door is a Victorian bow-front curio cabinet, which holds my matte finish Lladro figurine collection. Over the curio hangs a landscape of the Noland Trail in Autumn painted by my aunt, Martha Brogley.

The wall to the right holds two windows draped with rosy terra-cotta moirè swags, and asymmetrical jabots, with cream moirè linings. On the wall is an antique German regulator clock., Living Rooms Design

  • New Condo, This is the living/dining room in our new condo. We ve just moved in so the place is still a bit empty - even though we like the minimalist style. Easy to change moods in the room with different color scheme pillows as the rest of the furniture is quite neutral. As its spring we ve added a bit of green - still missing the odd piece though. Maybe one of you has some more ideas... , Living Rooms Design

  • old German dining room, We are renovating an old German house built in 1937. The dining room is covered in wood paneling, which was ordered from Siberia. I would like to paint it white, but I am not sure. I would hate to take away from the character of the house. Would love to hear some opinions/advice. Thanks., Dining Rooms Design

  • Small 1970's Dining Room Makeover, This is our dining area. In it's previous life, the room was decked out in dark 1970's paneling and heavy thermal drapes. The room was lit from a very dim vintage tole floral candelier. We took the dark paneling down and repaired the walls. We painted the room in a rich yellow. Tossed the heavy drapes and replaced them with lightweight panels. Finally, the candelier was replaced with a more contemporary fixture. , Dining Rooms Design

  • Long, dark German influenced kitchen, Our kitchen is long, and dark, really. the previous owner was from germany and used brick with a black mortar and dark wood. It is big space but is used very inefficiently. There are only 2 small windows in the kitchen and the placement of them is very poor and ineffective. The far end of the room is always very dark even midday. I would ultimately like to take down the wall between the kitchen and dining room to really open up the space., Kitchens Design
