  • Early Summer 2014, As we head towards the summer solstice, the longest daylight hours of the year, winter is left far behind as it possibly can be, as a distant , fading memory. June has to be my most favourite month and is a high point for me in the gardening year. June being my birthday month and also a time when the garden is lush and fulsome yet still retains the freshness and vibrancy of spring. The garden is now clothed in its most finest cloak of fresh greens, far and wide; embellished with the dazzling and attention grabbing flowers with a jewel like intensity. There are more than a few reasons for me to celebrate this month., Gardens Design

  • Glamorous master bath update, I love color. But in this space I choose only white and silver — and a little sparkle. That meant painting the walls (Sherwin Williams White Flour), painting the cabinets (instructions on my blog), recovering an occasional chair, and adding a little styling., Bathrooms Design

  • Small Bathroom remodel, Our tiny main Bathroom desperately needed new facelift. So,without hiring a conracter we start on the project. My house is mostly traditional but I wanted to have a modern or transitional bathroom and escape from common beige colors. So, we decided on gray palet and all tiles from floor to have a bigger space illusion we had thesame tile from both ceiling and floor with some darker accent break. Vanity is costume make and it is 18" wide and 40 inch long with extra storage., Bathrooms Design

  • Taking our kitchen into the 21st century!, We bought our home in1992 and haven't done anything to update the kitchen since. Although its functionality was good, it was very dated. Please, let me know what you think and if there are suggestions to make it better, I would love to hear from you!, Kitchens Design

  • Modern Meets Farmhouse Kitchen, The Modern meets Farmhouse Kitchen is all about mixing the new with the old. Our client likes the colour of the cabinets but wants to freshen them up by re-staining them back to their original colour and mixing modern sleek design through the space in the tiles and backsplace. We also up-dated the appliance and hardware to stainless steel to keep within the modern feel., Kitchens Design

  • Un Kitsch(Jean) Reno, Here's our teeny 64-square foot, 1980s 'blech' galley opened up into a warm, Parisian-style apartment kitchen for less than $12K. For our first renovation project, we played it safe by saving up & paying the experts to do the hard, dangerous, and/or expensive-to-repair stuff and focused on creating a warm space we knew we'd love for years to come., Kitchens Design

  • Budget-Friendly DIY Kitchen Makeover, The 1990s oak kitchen in my new-to-me lakehouse was dated, worn-out, and provided little storage space. With my Handy Hubby, I removed the upper cabinetry and tile, painted the remaining lower cabinets turquoise, added crisp white paneling, open shelving and DIY pantry, built a DIY solid maple counter, plus added a shiny new sink, faucet, and hardware. It's a temporary solution to get us through the next five years while we save for a major remodel, but we like it so much it might stick around longer!
