  • Christmas 2014, Hi, folks! This space includes our Christmas décor for 2014. My goal was very simple décor, reminiscent of something you might see in a quaint ski town or a rustic lodge., Holidays Design

  • Wine bar/ Laundry area, I had a laundry area that was in the long hallway leading to the garage. We moved the wall which put the washer dryer in the kitchen. That helped reconfigure the kitchen/laundry area and allowed us to use the rest of the space as a utility room. However that left an ugly water heater with a non functioning solar attachment in my kitchen. I removed the solar piping and moved the water heater into the utility area and built in a wine fridge and wine storage rack next to the washer., Other Spaces Design

  • Stone Castle, Mike Hinz's grandfather built this from stone and concrete about 75 years ago in Chicago. It was vandalized and in pieces. We brought it back to South Carolina in 500 pieces and 1500 lb jig saw project, about 16 years ago. 1 picture shows side yard with the 500 pieces another picture shoes the start of putting it back together. The rest are the finished project., Yards Design

  • Knotty Pine Time Machine, Despite misconceptions you can bring your mid-century kitchen with knotty pine cabinetry back to future! I am proud that we were able to save these heirlooms. They are more solidly constructed than most cabinets on the market today, and they can be aesthetically pleasing!, Kitchens Design

  • Big White Kitchen Update, Help! I'm refacing the badly peeling white laminated cabinets, replacing the red oak laminate floor and putting in new stainless steel appliances. The Corian counter tops are staying. I'm at a loss as to color combinations. I'd like to do a super dark distressed wood floor but I don particularly want to keep the cabinets white. I'd like to have a bigger change if I'm going to spend all that money and time., Kitchens Design
