  • No Gourmets Allowed, I love to cook but when I enter this kitchen all inspiration is lost. It has plenty of counter space but the cabinets are old and dark. We knocked out the wall between the family room and kitchen which gave us more space and installed a beautiful neutral tile but I have no idea what to do with the cabinets. Left is the sunroom/breakfast room right leads to the dining room. , Kitchens Design

  • Our tropical sunroom, This is a four season room and we use it year round. The tile floor makes it great for people accessing the pool in the summer. All the windows open so it can be completely open to the backyard. Also a great place for lounging and reading the Sunday paper or just watching some television., Porches Design

  • Sunroom needs your help!, We added this sunroom 7 years ago. It is off of our family room. We decided to make the interior resistant to rain, in case the windows were left open, so it is entirely pine wall, ceiling and floor. Initially it matched the woodwork in our house, golden oak. Now we have remodeled our kitchen, which lead to changing the wood trim to a dark maple, matching our kitchen. I hate our sunroom now. Last year we painted the walls, but I still hate it. Wondered if making the windows and trim a darker color would help or changing the wall color. Any suggesions would be greatly appreciated., Porches Design

  • Spectacular Outdoor Space waiting to come out of the closet, The back of our home has a huge roof extension covering the original deck with high, solid sidewalls, wasted deck space due to steps in the center and an open area that does not take advantage of the large patio just past the deck walls. There are doors to the deck from the kitchen and Master Bedroom. The current deck only utilizes 2/3 of the available covered space. We would love to install french doors from the kitchen, and rebuild the deck to take advantage of the entire roof-line, install an outdoor fireplace, a pergola over the open portion of the deck and wide steps to the patio below from the front of the open deck located off the master bedroom. The current enclosed space is dark. A four season space might incorporate screens and removable windows to take advantage of the seasons. Look at the space and give us your ideas! This future room is an extension of our kitchen/family area and is crying to be taken advantage of with today's possibilities!, Home Exterior Design

  • From Girlie to Unisex, This is our guest room make-over (on a dime) It was previously pink and sage green designed specifically for my visiting girlfriends. I soon discovered most of them bring their men friends with them so I redid it eliminating the "girlie" feel. I have yet to add some decor to the blank corner and I plan to make a roman shade out of the drapery material for the small pocket window. This was my grandmother's mahogany bed and dresser. Please tell me how I did., Bedrooms Design

  • Living room with four inset arches on one wall, I need help. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I should paint my front room? I have a very limited budget (I can only afford paint-at some point in the future). My front room is 13' by 15'. The carpet is a beige/tan. One wall has four inset arches and I am at loss as to what to do with them other than to rip them out and I am not well enought to do that. I have the entire room a light beige, the ceiling is white, and the wall with the window has white vertical blinds. The front door walk in area is about 4' by 7 ' in addition to the size of the front room.

My furniture is brown.

My home is a tri-level. As you move from the front room you enter the to the kitchen (Done with Golds, Yellows, Burgandy, and Black) an d the stairs to the upstairs hallway. , Living Rooms Design
