This mural includes children's songs, fables, nursery rhymes, and tons of tiny critters and animals to keep a baby entertained. I created this nursery for my first born son Reed. I was 8 months pregnant when I began painting it. This was my favorite project because it was the first time I got to create a project for my own child.

My home in the mountains of Western North Carolina. I love nature and enjoy my wild visitors who come by on a regular basis. Birds of all kinds black bears raccoons skunks foxes and even a mountain lion on occasion. My home looks down on the 'LIttle Paris of the South' Asheville and across the spectacular mountains that surround it.

It's a Craftsman/Cottage home with very large porches. There are 4 porches. One on the front and 3 in the back. The middle back porch is screened in. There are three swings. One ison the front and the other two are out back with one being on the masterbedroom private porch. This home is all about outdoor living. The three sets of french doors across the back will open on to the porches and create more living area outdoors and in. It's all about having a big family.

My husband and I converted a room in our cape cod style home for our new little bundle scheduled to arrive sometime in early May! : We DO NOT know the gender so we had to make it gender neutral. We love nature, organics, music and the outdoors so we were inspired by that.

When we found out we were having a girl this time, I went a little crazy! Birds are a popular theme right now, but I just love them! We started with sage green paint and antique white nursery furniture, and added accessories from PBKids, Land of Nod, and Target. Can't wait for Lilah to enjoy her nest!

We created a cute comfortable nursery on a budget. We wanted to keep the walls neutral so we added lots of color in the accessories. The entire room including furniture, paint, light fixture, and accessories cost less than $600. We couldn't be happier with the results!

Nolan is our first child, due to arrive August 23, 2009. I have had the most fun designing and decorating the nursery. I wanted the nursery to be light, breezy, tranquil and fun. I used a pale turquois on the walls, my favorite color. I chose the Bratt Decor "Blu" furniture line to add a contemporary feel. I love the padded turquois suede material on the ends of the crib. I found a contemporary material to coordinate and hired seamstress Sue Gravens to make my custom bedding and curtain toppers. The final touch was adding contemporary birds, owls and trees to bring the outdoors inside. I hired artist August Schuss, who did an amazing job on the murals. He even painted our cavalier king charles, "Charlie", on the entrance wall to the nursery. Hopefully, this will be the perfect room for Nolan to grow, play and learn.

I used Bordallo cabbage bowls and dinner plates and the clover salad plates that I found last year at the Christmas Tree shop. The little arrangements at each place setting are also from The Christmas Tree Shop. . The green cabbage glasses from The Cracker Barrel and the silverware I bought recently at Target they were $0.69 - $1.29 a piece on clearance.

The downstairs half bathroom in our house was a small and uninteresting space that didn't really express anything at all. After a cheep makeover the room feels more open, bright, welcoming, and definitely more interesting. Now our half bath is totally awesome!
