  • My Work in Progress, As you can see my yard keeps changing each year. I have taken some advise from some of the viewers, one was to put the stairs in off my desk making a corner staircase. Working on my pond will be a long process for me. I want to make it jungle like with plants, so each year I add and add and hope the plants stay alive. , Patios & Decks Design

  • Objects in the Garden, My gardening style is quite relaxed. I have objects of all sorts and sizes in my garden. Some are meant for the garden and some have been repurposed. Tasteful placement of various and interesting objects is an important element in my gardens. Objects can be used as focal points or as semi-hidden surprises as you stroll around your yard.

  • Our front yard fish pond and stream., This is our fish pond and stream. It was all dug by hand and each rock was hand placed. It has 3 waterfalls with the last one flowing into the fish pond at the bottom. It's gone through 3 expansions to get to this point. This is how we are going to leave it. We really enjoy watching it change with the seasons. We love watching the birds enjoy it in the spring. The water lilies are beautiful in the summer., Gardens Design

  • Naturalized Perennial Garden, I started my perennial garden eleven years ago from scratch. Thanks to good soil and perseverence I've become a decent gardener. It has become a passion for me and a favorite space to relax and enjoy the changing views. Behind the pond is an old board & batten garage. I painted the back of a window sash black attached it to the garage and added shutters and a window box. It's now a great feature., Gardens Design

  • GARDEN of WEEDIN' - Welcome to our un-grassy knoll., Our yard is a panda bear's paradise - several bamboo varieties and tons of green - weeds that is. We have more weeds than we can count - so many on the ground they actually look like grass and weeds so thick - they are like tree trunks. Our weeds are overgrowing our yard so bad, they have bulged out our fence betwen the neighbor's fence. We have a pond with no barrier which is unsafe for our kids and a slab of slate that is awkwardly placed in the middle of the yard - making no play space for our kids (ages 4 and 1). We have a 2nd floor deck that is not accessable to the yard and would love to be able to use that space. It is unkept and unloved because we can't access if from the yard. , Yards Design
