  • Chocolate Brown Dining room with faux stone technique inspired by the Ritz Carlton New Orleans, I applied faux stone made from burlap, drywall mud, wallpaper paste, and glaze. The room was inspired by the Ritz Carlton New Orleans. The room is a delicious chocolate brown with Tiffany blue accents. The furniture is a 1960's contemporary design and this particular dining set was purchased in the 1970’s after it had been used in the Austrian Embassy in Washington D.C., Dining Rooms Design

  • faux stone fireplace, I love my faux cast stone fireplace!! I wanted the real thing only I couldn't afford the $6000 price tag. I made this fireplace for $60 !!! I used the exterior stucco forms from a quality paint store. I used 1/8 inch painters tape for grout lines and spread regular joint compound for the texture. I washed on a beautiful light glaze and ta-da!!! My friends all love it! It 's amazing what creativity comes out when it's 20 degrees below zero in Idaho LOL!, Living Rooms Design
