  • COWBOY UP for this cozy cabin feelin' family rm, Taking his passions to the extreme...this client donned his hunting fishing and riding gear to have me create an aesthetic environment that incorporated all his favorite pastimes! • Leather Wall treatment , . First I primed and applied a behr glaze working in small sections -- putting up tissue paper . Second I took peanut butter paint and watered it down trying not to cover all the lines made by the tissue paper. Third I used a brush I made myself and did light brush strokes of pink. Final step with the rest of the glaze I used a minwax walnut stain.. and rubbed it on --which I call aging.. , Bathrooms Design

  • Bedroom Makeover, These pictures are before the makeover.

I'm pretty creative when it comes to my worklife, but it doesn't extend past that for some reason. :')

I'm in the process of redecorating my master bedroom. I'm tired of coming home to a room that's not relaxing. My vision is for my room to be elegant, romantic, minimalist with neutral colors. I want to add touches of color through my wall art, flowers, throw, pillows and linen, etc.

I've been relentlessly shopping on Overstock. I think I'm addicted. lol I created a mockup of what I want my room to look like. The only thing I currently have is the TV, bed, dresser, and nightstand. I'll be staining/painting my dresser and nightstand to a dark wood color. I have everything else in my shopping cart at Overstock, Kirklands, and Bed Bath and Beyond. I bought new linen, curtain, quilt set, king pillows, feather bed and a serta foam thing.

My room currently has beige carpet, but I'm having laminate installed in a couple months, so I'll need to purchase an area rug. Any suggestions? The wood is a medium brown with cherry.

I'm stuck when it comes to wall art pieces. I'm putting a huge mirror above my headboard, a clock on one wall. I'm thinking about placing this art piece that I saw on Overstock over the fireplace, but I still have two blank walls. What should I place there? I don't want to just buy flowery picures or pieces that are too abstract. I want something that will enable me to switch up the color in my room.

This is what I'm considering to place over the fireplace.

I have two other bare walls. I really like these one too. Could I get away with all three in the same room? Do you think I would be able to switch up the color scheme in my room if I got these paintings?

Based on the linen that I purchased and some other knicknacks, I'd like to change my color scheme to sage, light blue or I'd like to have everything white including sheets and use my chocolate quilt set, throw, vase, and splashes of red from painting and red roses. Anyone ever bought a fireplace? The one that I found looks really pretty, but I'm hoping it's not too small.

This is the look that I'm trying to mimic somewhat, but not exactly.

This is the mockup that I worked on. lol

I like the chaise lounge in the pic because it looks comfortable, but theres another one that I'm interested in too. I think I'll most likely purchase this in the store. I want an interesting looking, functional piece that's comfortable to sleep in, or just sit and read. I don't want just a 'pretty piece'.

I like this, but in brown.

http://img37.imagefra.me/img/img37/2/3/31/ediese/f_fcopp584v50m_2732d07.jpg

Oh yea, what about painting my wall. Any color suggestions? lol :)

ETA: I've always wanted to hang something sexy like this in my room. I'm going to wait until my photog friend can take the pics. He's really good.

  • Japanese & Mixed Asian Family Room , A family room located in the rear of the house, right off my outdoor patio. The ceiling fan is original to the house and yes it will be removed and replaced by a modern light fixture. This space is all done in a few different types of mixed Asian eclectic pieces, but more specifically is concentrated on the Japanese styled pieces. This space included a Japanese oil painting shown that I still have yet to have wood framed. I've added a real cute little Japanese Geisha Girl statuette that adds to the decorative pieces within the cherry wood/mahogany entertainment center shelves. Details, details, details are the keys to my own personal style of decorating. Well on my HGTV "What's your Style" quiz, mine came back that I'm ECLECTIC, which they say means I like to match colors, and the test is right! Take a peak and you'll see.
I HOPE YOU LIKE IT ! BE INSPIRED!
