  • Do fairies ever sleep?, In this enchanted fairy land you will find fairies that never sleep flying through the sky, hiding between blades of grass, and sitting in the tree. Whether watching a catapillar wedding, chasing bunnies, butterflies, or squirrels, or simply relaxing and smelling the flowers, this room tells the story of a fairy's life without using words. One thing holds true; whether young or old or boy or girl these fairies never sleep.
(This room was decorated and painted for my daughter by my mom. We have recently had to relocate our family to Hungary and I refused to paint over the room. I was thankful to find renters that love it just as much as we do.), Nurseries Design

  • Lorelai's Room, This was my daughter's room in her first home... our previous apartment. (We're moving in a week). We wanted the decorative items to be both nursery and young adult friends, with a few things able to be kept throughout adulthood. With the butterfly and fairy theme, the artwork and figurines were the items I'd like her to carry on through her adulthood - these were actually mine that I decided to prematurely pass on to my daughter when she was born. The quilt on the glider is handmade by one of her grandmother's and is definitely going to be something she will keep for years to come. Everything else is perfect for a baby or young child. The crib will eventually transform into a headboard for a full sized bed and the dresser is big enough for an adult (as long as a closet is also accessable). I think that even though this is an apartment that we are leaving behind, and the layout of furniture will change, the items we used will be able to move into any space and still reflect the same tranquil, romantic, fairy-tale feeling, and yet, as the years go on, still grow with our daughter., Nurseries Design

  • Once-upon-a-Time Children's Play Space, If you have a prince or princess searching for their own fairy-tale... then this play-space is exactly what they are looking for!

The storybook cottage has a thatched roof, Dutch door, and stands 7' tall with Gothic beams, fire-place including a flicker-flame light and Bunny Hutch. Everything you could imagine in a fairytale cottage is here: flower fairies, theme dressed stuffed animals, a mouse house that has mushroom steps up to a balcony entrance and a window that looks out the real window of the room onto the 'deep-dark-woods'! , Other Spaces Design

  • Fairy Tale , When I decided creating this room I did not want to use the common "baby" colors. I wanted to keep it simple, but simple with a twist. I even did not have a theme when I started decorating. My idea was to create a girly, romantic space, that could grow with my little baby. I also knew I wanted to use white as the predominant color with touches of bright pink and soft green to add some fun to the room. I also wanted to add hand made products to create the "romantic" atmosphere I was looking for and had all the crib bedding and windows treatment sent from artisans in Brazil. This is the room I wanted to have if I was a baby right now :-), Nurseries Design

  • Dream bedroom, This is the bedroom of a 3 year old girl. I painted the furniture and the mural. The little girl wanted a purple and blue room. She is allergic to cats and dogs, so I decided to give her the animals to be her companions. The fairy also has her hair and eye colors.

  • Butterfly Bedroom, Inspired by pottery barn kids lindsey bedroom, but not inspired by the price. I handmade the paper butterflies on the walls and drew the Cinderella, Sleeping
Beauty Castle and Alice in Wonderland pictures with map pencils and used
scrapbooking stickers for the characters.
The bedding is from Target's Shabby
Chic collection. In the future, I would like
to replace the bedding with the pb kids lindsey bedding. I bought the antique
dresser on Craigslist and painted it off white. The nightstand I found at Homegoods. The lamp I found at Big Lots for $15 and glued roses on the
lampshade. , Girls' Rooms Design
