I love natural woods and fabrics, so when the living room ceiling tiles fell down, I took the opportunity to put my two favorite materials together. It's fabric covered Luan sheets accented with natural bamboo half poles.

This is a picture of my living room. I tried my best to decorate it given our limited living surface. It lacks lighting and the fire place, we feel, is in an awkward space.

Being that my walls are textured, I realized that regular wallpaper just wasn't going to work (the texture came through the wallpaper. After some thinking, I thought about fabric. Adding an iron-on interfacing to the back of the fabric gave it the thickness needed to keep the texture from showing through when it was adhered to the wall. And how was that done? With nothing else but liquid starch. With a paintbrush, paint on the liquid starch (do not dilute, place your fabric on the wall, let dry, then overcoat the fabric with liquid starch. Ta-da!

I redid this dining room because it had wall paper on the walls and a cracking plaster underneath. I used a damask waverly fabric on the walls to cover the inconsistencies and to dress it up. I covered the chairs to match the walls. It feels so warm and we love it!

My 12x12 foot dining room needed a makeover. I painted the ceiling (3 coats! a gold metallic and the walls a deep red with a satin finish. The chair rail and crown moldings are bright white and beneath the chair rail is fabric on the wall. I also recovered the chairs in a coordinating fabric, used a "transitional" style rug and gold silk draperies.

Let me know what you think we should add. We are planning to get a flat screen mounted over the fireplace so the pictures will be moved. Thanks for your input in advance!!

We designed this fresh and colorful nursery for our (soon-to-be baby boy. We choose to use lots of color and patterns in the space against a calm grey and white backdrop. The result is a space that is both calming and stimulating, relaxing and energizing.
I am trying to find a fabric to use for drapery panels. I have included some swatches for opinions. Also, does the bird picture go with the room and if so should I frame it?
