  • Tuscan Flavor Living Room, This was formerly two small rooms. We removed the wall, installed structural header beam w/Tuscan style half columns, new eucalyptus hardwood flooring, paint colors are "golden pond" and accent walls of a terra cotta color w/white trim, new wrought iron light fixtures and curtain rods, a beautiful tapestry, new Caspian wood area rug, tiffany-styled tortiere and lamp, soft textured beige curtains, etc. Still playing with furniture placement, probably will add a tuscan style console table under the tapestry and play with the couch placement and add a couple of comfy chairs w/artwork on the wall behind where it currently is. , Living Rooms Design

  • Too many trees and a nasty hill, I have some before and after pictures. But we STILL need help.

We just bought our first home and the backyard is a MESS. There are about 5 differnt trees in the back yard that are dying and taking over. The roots are under the slab of the house and the hill is dangerous with the City of Oceansides Storm Water Easement running the entire length of our backyard at the bottom of the "hill"., Yards Design

  • Marianne & Howard's Great Room, We removed the walls between our kithen and the combined living room -dining room area creating one unified space for easy entertaining. The house is mid century modern and we've tried to stay true to the contemporary feel while incorporating some transitional elements. The floors in the grreat room and the kitchen cabinets are eucalyptus, which is a green material and there is radiant flood heating throughout the space.

We love the spcae but are always looking for suggestions to improve it and warm it up more - especially with accents and alternative furniture placemnt., Living Rooms Design

  • Bay Area Exedra, From a tangle of thorned plants we cleared a flat area. We used straw bale construction to define area which drops off a few feet from the back of the excedra. We gained definition and seating. The smaller ring makes a fabulous fire-pit area. The interplanting is dicondra. Eucalyptus in background. This yard is a work in progress and we have added some giant birds of paradise and tree ferns on the sides. , Yards Design

  • Simple and classic powder room , Before the "makeover" it was a white space. I chose a warm darker tone of earthy beige and oil rubbed bronze accessories. The flower arrangement is going to be changed seasonally for this fall I've used colorful eucalyptus branches in a traditional cream colored urn. Ill try to add few more things to the decor specially beside the vanity/over the toilet maybe couple of candle holders kleenex box etc? I'll appreciate your comments and suggestions!, Bathrooms Design

  • Small but Bright And Cheery!, Bedroom for 13 year old daughter (designed by her) with a touch of antique charm mixed with some modern touches. The unique corner chair won at an auction and an old-fashioned armoire serving as a desk (hiding the mess) Some more modern touches are the capiz shells (entrance frame chandelier photo collage and soon-to-be sheers) colors (Eucalyptus blue and butter yellow) and chair rail. Very space effective as far as storage goes but has a few bare walls. Suggestions? , Bedrooms Design
