  • Kitchen almost done, just needs different wall color, Our reno consisted of a complete demo of the cabinets. We chose to go with Espresso finished cabinets from Kitchen Maid w/ undermount lighting. Tumbled tile backsplash w/ glass inserts and tumbled strip. New stainless appliances. Quartz coutertop. Brass light fixture has since been replaced with stainless steel 3 light. All we have left is to change the wall color. Not sure what color to go with...thinking of a light green, yellow or cream color., Kitchens Design

  • Our tiny little Zen-ish Potty, We live in a 3BR, 1BA Cape Cod style home. With 1 bath we wanted to do as much as we could to make it a nice place to shower and get ready for work. Of course, it's not a huge master suite like we would like, but we think we did a good job with the small space. What do you think?, Bathrooms Design

  • Braden's Modern Vintage Nursery, We had so much fun decorating our first baby's nursery! The theme is vintage toys along with tricycles, wagons and scooters. We went off of the circle print in the bedding to add the finishing accessories. The furniture has an espresso finish. My husband painted the airplane chandelier (originally pastel) to match the colors of the room. , Nurseries Design

  • 80's Update, In this 1980's bathroom the gray and beige tile was given an updated look through the application of a modern gray and beige botanical wallpaper. The upper cabinet doors were removed to create open shelving for display and all cabinetry was painted espresso brown. Ethnic art and accessories and a white all-cotton shag rag rug completed the transformation., Bathrooms Design

  • French Parisian Girl's Nursery, This nursery was initially designed as a gender neutral nursery as the client was in the process of adopting a baby and wasn't sure if she was going to get a baby boy or a baby girl. Once a birth mother was selected and we found out she was having a girl, we added sweet feminine touches to make a sophisticated french inspired nursery. The client loves Paris and everything French and the rest of her home reflects her love of french decor, so the theme for the nursery was evident! We selected 100% dupioni silk bedding, chose beautiful French themed nursery wall art and added sweet gems and jewels to the nursery wall hanging and canvases. The pink poodle rocking animal was a fun and playful touch and the mocha crystal nursery chandelier is accented with a hand made chandelier ceiling medallion that says "Anything is Possible"...a phrase the mom-to-be used during one of our conversations about her adoption process. I found that quite fitting for this wonderful love story!

  • Reinvented Laundry Room, This mom of young twin boys needed a functional laundry and drop off area when entering their home from the garage. The original laundry room did not have a designated drop off zone, which meant everything ended up on the floor. She also wanted a space to fold laundry and store additional home goods.

To create the new space, the wall between the existing laundry room and an underutilized spare bedroom was removed. A new drop zone made from Alder with a bench and cubbies was built so the boys had a place for their things. New Alder cabinetry in an espresso finish provided additional overhead storage. A Kohler apron sink with a decorative pendant light allow for easy clean up, while a built in marble folding counter gives easy transition from the washer/dryer units. A backsplash made from 4x8 subway tile, bar tiles and decorative flower tile accent the walls and blends well with the new porcelain tile floor. Next to the drop zone is a new storage/utility closet. Additional features of the room include a wider opening into the area, additional counter space and cabinets, and a door that leads to the back yard.

Now this busy family can enter their home and easily unpack the day in their new laundry area.

  • Espresso Chic, A dark espresso stain was used on our cabinets and was paired with a lighter floor. We loved the long, skinny quartz back splash and wanted that to pop so we used a simple counter top so it wouldn't overpower the room. , Kitchens Design
