This is the smallest bedroom in our recently purchased home, which we turned into the guest room. With little space to work with, we made it very welcoming for our guests.

In anticipation of his baby sister's moving into the nursery, we created a big-boy bedroom for my son using colorful patterns and whimsical details. Some of the items moved with him from the nursery; others were thrifted; others were purchased new and one iconic feature, a reverse-stenciled dresser, was DIYed. The best feature of this room is that in addition to everything being toddler/preschooler accessible the design is both fun for a little boy and beautiful for his parents.

More-or-less a second living room; this rent house is kind of a weird set up. We use it as an office/reading/craft/makeup and hair room. This house is 4 bed and only 1 bath, so we use this dresser that we refurbished as a place for us to do our hair and makeup while someone else is taking a shower.

We chose a cowboy theme for our son's nursery. I did a faux blue jean painting technique on the walls. We installed a chair rail around the room, which I stenciled colorful cowboy pictures above. My mom sewed the window treatments and viola - a fun and inviting baby boy's room was born!

We recently finished this bathroom remodel. My husband took a mahogany dresser that we purchased for $150.00. He completely refinished it and put seven coats of polyurethane to protect the top from water. When he cut the drawers down to accommodate the plumbing he detailed them so they would be completely usable. Some are deep so we still have good storage. We added a vessel sink with an oil-rubbed bronze faucet. Our floors are Tumbled Boticcino Marble. I made the shell/coral mirror with heavy duty hardware to support it on the wall. Color accents in towels, curtain and rug are Restoration Hardware Silver Sage.

This nursery was initially designed as a gender neutral nursery as the client was in the process of adopting a baby and wasn't sure if she was going to get a baby boy or a baby girl. Once a birth mother was selected and we found out she was having a girl, we added sweet feminine touches to make a sophisticated french inspired nursery. The client loves Paris and everything French and the rest of her home reflects her love of french decor, so the theme for the nursery was evident! We selected 100% dupioni silk bedding, chose beautiful French themed nursery wall art and added sweet gems and jewels to the nursery wall hanging and canvases. The pink poodle rocking animal was a fun and playful touch and the mocha crystal nursery chandelier is accented with a hand made chandelier ceiling medallion that says "Anything is Possible"...a phrase the mom-to-be used during one of our conversations about her adoption process. I found that quite fitting for this wonderful love story!

10 x 12 guest room. I found this neat dresser and bed at a resale shop. It has been antiqued an awful off cream. Please send suggestions on a new color that will bring it alive. Carpeting in room is silver.

I always loved Dr. Suess as a kid and when I handpainted this tiny nursery I wanted it to be really special. At the time Dr. Suess was not as popular as it is today with the new movie release but just as near and dear to my own heart as ever. Hope you like what I've done with it. It's all free-hand painting inspired by illustrations from a collection of Dr. Suess books.

Purple's my favorite color, so that was an easy choice for the walls, but I just love bold color so much that I couldn't stop. The bed is layered with lots of colors, patterns and textures which makes getting up in the morning even harder. I displayed some of my artwork and collections to make it a fun place to relax in.
