  • Light & Bright...desk area from wasted hall space., Our hallway, from master suite leading to second bedroom suite on other side of the house, was really just wasted space with a curio cabinet and chair that was never used...just collected dust. We refinished two cabinets we've had for over 35 years, stained an unfinished door, used a favorite chair of mine I bought at an Ethan Allen sale a very long time ago, and now it's a bright and useful space to pay bills, use the laptop, and spend time on RMS! , Other Spaces Design

  • His and Hers Home Office, In August of 2011 the north east was hit by hurricane Irene. Northern New Jersey experienced major flooding. We were contacted by a home owner who's office had experienced major damage due to flooding.

The scope of the project involved duplicating existing office furniture. The original work was quite involved.

The bulk of the project is plain sliced Walnut veneer with a clear coat finish. One of the offices incorporates a Corian solid surface top which we were able to salvage. You will also see various custom lateral files, the drawers themselves constructed of Baltic birch plywood on full extension slides. Shelving units have a clear plain sliced Maple interior. Each office also has a custom made coat closet.

The existing units were disassembled and taken back to our shop where we deconstructed them, remanufactured them and then reinstalled the new finished project., Home Offices Design

  • White and charcoal gray home office, This space, off to the side of our kitchen, is supposed to be a breakfast nook. But as soon as we moved in, our boys began putting their toys here. We didn’t have furniture for a nook, so I followed suit and put my puny little desk in the same space so I could work while they played. I thought it was temporary, but it actually was working great as a playroom/home office. I painted the salmon wall Kendall Charcoal, put in two Micke desks from Ikea, and added my own DIY artwork. • wouldn't school be fun with a desk like this?, This desk was giving to me by a dear friend years ago. It was partially stripped cracked falling apart. My grandaughters used it for their paper and colors playing school and waitress. DH has wanted me to get rid of it a number of times but I held on moving it from place to place., Living Rooms Design
