Our living room and dining room are in one big room divided by basically the shape of the house. I guess I would describe my taste as aged rustic vintage but not retro vintage. We just moved in and have been concentrating more on our boys' rooms first. But I do really like my living room so far. Hope you do too!

I did this nursery for my second son Maxim (ariving any day now. I knew I wanted a more modern room but with timeless details as well. I've been looking at different rooms for the past 9 months and picked out my favorate touches from a few of MY favorites. The room was done on a budget so a lot of the things I made myself. We started out with fixing the shower drain...long story short...we gutted the 3rd bathroom in our house.We replaced the old corner shower unit with a 31/2' X 5' full ceramic walk-in shower and did extensive tile work on the walls and floor. We still have to install some decorative glass block for the shower but it's functional and we're just using a curtain for now.

This is a guest bathroom that needed some punch. Boy does it have it now! The paint color is peacock blue with black and white accents. The zebra shower curtain and towels are from Target and most other accents are from Hobby Lobby.

This room has been an office, a den and for the past few years a junk room, where I could barely open the door (oops! FINALLY made it into a guest room, so now no more visitors on the couch! I pretty much walked through my house and took what I could to decorate...can't argue with free!

We just got done renovating our basement. We did not create any new rooms, just gave a nice face lift to a big space. Due to AC pipes and ceiling height, we could not put in a ceiling, Instead, we painted the existing structure and added lighting. It has a rustic yet cozy feel. Nothing fancy...just a little facelift. We use the space for working out, my workspace, hanging out, storage, and laudnry, so it is set up for all those purposes. The basement had no dry wall, no mantle, and black and white checked linoleum floors before we fixed it up. We are enjoying it! I have painted/repurposed all of the furniture except the dark wood dresser.
