  • Downstairs shower room, We started out with fixing the shower drain...long story short...we gutted the 3rd bathroom in our house. We replaced the old corner shower unit with a 31/2' X 5' full ceramic walk-in shower and did extensive tile work on the walls and floor. We still have to install some decorative glass block for the shower but it's functional and we're just using a curtain for now., Bathrooms Design

  • Parisian with a 40's Twist-just starting, My goal this year is to redecorate my room. We painted and layed down floors earlier this year, but I'm just now getting it put together. I'm going for a vintage, eclectic feel by using antiques and interesting accessories. I want this room to reflect my love for Europe, travel, and history. Much to do still (moldings, headboard, rugs, window treatments, new bed skirt, shams and throw pillows, vintage luggage, pictures/paintings, etc), but this is what i have so far! :0), Bedrooms Design

  • Little Boy's Vintage Travel, My son is 3 and loves his room! I painted it a neutral theme when I was pregnant and was going to add pink accents if we had a girl and red and blue if we had a boy. :0) I chose to do a vintage travel theme and will be adding in more trains, because we have a HUGE Thomas fan on our hands. All of his toys are organized and stored in his closet, which makes clean-up pretty easy. I'm ordering a really cool picture of him holding a Thomas train on some train tracks. I'll re-post when we get it in. :0), Boys' Rooms Design

  • Spring Stoop, While living in Florida, I learned about container gardening. It was a great solution to add color to our house front or patio, without having to dig into the not so soft ground [mostly coral rock]. Over the years in Florida, I had grown and nurtured several plants, but because of state laws, I was unable to take any of the plants with me when we moved to Arizona. Although I gave away most of my plants to friends and family, I did keep several of the containers. Refreshing the containers with a quick cleaning & a fresh coat of paint helped spare the expense of having to start totally all over again. All I needed to do was invest in a few flowering plants to give our now stacked stone stoop a shot of color for Spring.

If you're renting, like we are, this is a great little Spring Spruce-up for outside, to welcome family home with color, as well as say "Happy Spring!" to your neighborhood. Read more about the expense + savings at:, Porches Design

  • A Shabby to Chic Master Bathroom Makeover, My bathroom was dull, dingy and dated. It was in major need of a makeover. As a fan of shabby chic style, I created a warm, inviting space with the addition of new paint, upcycled thift store finds and vintage items. Now I love going in there.
