  • Built in Desk and Reading Nook, We bumped a little bit of space out of our famiy room into the garage (3' x 6') and made a fun built in corner desk with shelving and a storage bench with a cushion for reading. It has bead board backed shelves and art style walls (salon walls) with photos I've taken and objects that have meaning to our family., Home Offices Design

  • My Country Cottage Kitchen, I love Cottage Style. I also adore retro, vintage kitchen items, red and aqua, and for some reason I am nuts for red and white polka dots. I've designed my kitchen around these likes and created a space that is warm and inviting to me and my family. Its a great place to start my day with a hot cup of coffee. , Kitchens Design

  • A Shabby to Chic Master Bathroom Makeover, My bathroom was dull, dingy and dated. It was in major need of a makeover. As a fan of shabby chic style, I created a warm, inviting space with the addition of new paint, upcycled thift store finds and vintage items. Now I love going in there.

You can view more photos of this bathroom makeover on my blog at:

  • Little Boy's Vintage Travel, My son is 3 and loves his room! I painted it a neutral theme when I was pregnant and was going to add pink accents if we had a girl and red and blue if we had a boy. :0) I chose to do a vintage travel theme and will be adding in more trains, because we have a HUGE Thomas fan on our hands. All of his toys are organized and stored in his closet, which makes clean-up pretty easy. I'm ordering a really cool picture of him holding a Thomas train on some train tracks. I'll re-post when we get it in. :0), Boys' Rooms Design

  • Parisian with a 40's Twist-just starting, My goal this year is to redecorate my room. We painted and layed down floors earlier this year, but I'm just now getting it put together. I'm going for a vintage, eclectic feel by using antiques and interesting accessories. I want this room to reflect my love for Europe, travel, and history. Much to do still (moldings, headboard, rugs, window treatments, new bed skirt, shams and throw pillows, vintage luggage, pictures/paintings, etc), but this is what i have so far! :0), Bedrooms Design

  • Beverly's Boudoir, This took awhile but I'm finally finished! I had in mind what I wanted but having the time to find it at 50+ with a 5 year old...well some of you may understand that...Wasabi Powder walls, a white matelassé coverlet with coordinating pillows and duvet cover, playful polka-dots on a vintage chair and bench, just the right rugs (one is cream shag...love it!), lamps with a metal base that mimic the cream/black floral patterned drapes--all make me look forward to bedtime. The black headboard serves as a backdrop for everything in our uncluttered, rest-inviting, updated space. My husband is most proud of the corner mounted panel TV. Still with that, it's so serene...even when he's watching basketball in bed!, Bedrooms Design

  • Master Madden's Room, I design a vintage train station room for my two year old son. He loves trains but I didn't want to do the Thomas the Train theme. It is still a work in progress because I find things all the time that work with the room. Sorry about the long descriptions. I just want to answer any questions you might have right away. Hope you enjoy!, Boys' Rooms Design

  • Creating a Fall Mantel that is a little Rustic but still Elegant, I've created this display on my mantel to show that it is possible to mix items that are considered rustic like pinecones and a antiqued pumpkin with glittery leaves and a glass mosaic pumpkin. Using the burnt oranges, golden yellows, and rusty reds of fall, a display can look cohesive if done correctly. Everyday objects like vintage baskets and metal lanterns turn into fall decorations when combined with some leaves and berries. One of the secrets to this look is using different textures and putting the decorations on different levels. Even the mirror has been used to showoff a beautiful wreath. I love that all the things that I love can be combined into one display and look complete!, Holidays Design
