  • Frogs, Snails and Puppy Dogs' Tails...Bugs and Worms Too!, This is my son Owen's warm and inviting nursery. It's a clean space evoking the theme around bugs, snails, worms and all the little slimy creatures that little boys love. My mom did the murals without any patterns or stencils. There is also a touch of the moon and stars overlooking our little creatures of nature. The daybed (Ikea) opens to a king sized bed so we wouldn't have to give up our guest bedroom. The custom paint really excentuates the shape of the room and gave us an opportunity to display our color palatte nicely. So far, it's been functional as well as esthetically pleasing for Owen. He loves to stare at the bugs (the stripes are pleasing to newborns)!, Nurseries Design

  • Making Over Mantown, Originally the basement was 'Mantown' as he called it. He wanted the ping pong table, darts, big screen & got it. But, he rarely uses it & we have company maybe twice a year. I decided a little makeover was in order to use some stuff I had in the garage. The former owner finished out the walls around the support beams without any thought to how the spaces would look or function. I was left with DUMB & AWKWARD nooks & crannies., Basements Design

  • Cozy Cottage Porch Makeover, The porch of my Victorian cottage was enclosed back in the 20s. I painted it white with a blue ceiling, refinished the hardwood floors, added a custom built daybed and lots of blue and white. The shelving holds my ironstone and aqua mason jars and bottles, and seagrass baskets are used for storage. A Dash and Albert outdoor rug withstands heavy traffic. The Starfish pillow is from local artist Willywaw. Vintage french grain sacks are used as pillow cases. Since the porch is south facing it gets great sun and warms up enough in winter so we can use it year round!, Porches Design

  • funky couch/daybed, I just did this project this weekend. Using a twin mattress I built a frame with 3 sides like a couch. We painted the frame a fabulous orange. I covered the mattress with a lime green fun fur fabric and added some pillows. This is now a fun place to hang out and the perfect place for a sleepover friend. This is just one part of the room. Cost for materials about $75. We already had the paint and mattress. I also mounted a fluorescent light underneath for a cool moody nightime affect., Girls' Rooms Design

  • Boys Nautical, Surfer Theme Bedroom, This is my two sons nautical surfer theme bedroom. A little bit of each! This room is super tiny so we needed to utlize the space as best we could with a daybed/trundle. It was very difficult to get pictures of this room because it is so tiny! The boys love lounging on their "bear" chairs we got from Babystyle! Enjoy! :))the blue long wall plaque reads "from sea to shining sea..." , Boys' Rooms Design
