I have a small kitchen that the previous owners tried to upgrade in black and white, but it has mismatched cabinets and very old appliances. I recently purchased the home and am doing most of the work myself. I like the black and white with red accents concept. I am looking for some inexpensive diy ideas for upgrading.

This space is our living/dining room. The walls are a darker beige. I have a golden color in the kitchen/dining room. I would love to get a new couch set.

When we started thinking of nurseries for Emma, we wanted something that she could "grow up with"... something that she could possibly like as she gets older and doesn't grow out of once she became a toddler. We didn't want something too young, or with a specific theme. Instead we chose colors and worked around there. Once we picked the bedding, we were able to stem out from that. I'm a DIY fanatic - so a lot of the things in here are DIY'ed by myself. We moved to our current home when Emma had just turned a year old, so it's not as "young" as it was before, we've added a few big girl elements, but it's still our little girl's room!

This room is a blank canvas, with all the existing bones to become a fantastic media room. When we bought this 3800 sq. ft. fixer, this room was a music/ living room. The room already has sound boarding on the walls and accoustic ceiling tiles. All we need is a motorized screen and a HD projector, and hello hollywood!

Flower theme room with block pattern on wall using pink, yellow, blue, and green. Daisy theme throughout entire room. My husband worked on the wall for 4 weeks (a little at a time. All I painted were the daisies. It was so much fun doing this for our little girl. She was born on July 9th and she already loves her room.

I wanted to create a bright and fun room for my grand daughter so she will have her own space when she visits. The room is a very small 10x9 room and has 2 windows. I was limited with furniture placement so I used a minimal amount of furniture along with light, bright yet "girlie"colors to help create a larger, brighter space. I used Pottery Barn Catalina furniture, bed, night stand, bookcase, with Pottery Barn Daisy Garden bedding in green and the PB Daisy canopy. Many of the accessories also came Pottery Barn. The window treatments were custom made. My 3 yr old grand daughter was so surprised and delighted when she saw it. Hope you will enjoy seeing her room.

My mother in law and I gave my daughter a bedroom makeover for her birthday. We painted and decorated. I am most proud of the headboard and wooden window valance. We made them.

I created this nursery a few years ago using inspiration found here on RMS. I did not want to go with the typical pastel/pink girl's nursery, but instead wanted something that flowed better with the rest of my house. Now my "baby" is a pre-schooler and I am currenly transforming her room into her big girl room!! I will be adding hot pink as its one of her favorite colors :- Enjoy!
