Results found for "daisies"

  • Taylor's Nursery, I created this nursery a few years ago using inspiration found here on RMS. I did not want to go with the typical pastel/pink girl's nursery, but instead wanted something that flowed better with the rest of my house. Now my "baby" is a pre-schooler and I am currenly transforming her room into her big girl room!! I will be adding hot pink as its one of her favorite colors :-) Enjoy!, Nurseries Design

  • Depleted Daisies, My front raised bed area is constantly under distress. The area is exposed to hours of hot desert sun and is against my house so the raised bed retains the heat. And then the biggest problem are the HUGE jack rabbits that seem to feed on most flowers that I choose. I am on my second round of Shasta Daisies and my second round of lavendar. , Gardens Design

  • Porch of Many Colors, Small apartment patio that was quite sterile and bleak. I got tired of looking at it so it was time for some color. With the addition of some flowers and dwarf citrus the space has been transformed into a nice area for breakfast in the morning or dinner in the evening., Porches Design

  • Too many daisies - Country Kitchen Need Modern Makeover, This is my kitchen it is still in the country blue/green/yellow decor of the previous owner I really don't like it. I want chic clean lines I want blacks browns and white or ivory accents that will go with the appliances I have now and stainless steel later. I've really got to get rid of the daisies on the wall and the match green speckled counter tops. The super light colored pergo is also a problem. I'm looking for feedback from everyone. Thanks!!, Kitchens Design

  • Midnight in the Fairy Garden, I am so proud of the Nursery. The pictures just don't do it justice because it is a small room and the decor is very busy. It was hard to get a good angle to catch things properly.
We moved into the house when I was 8 months pregnant so I had to work with the existing paint and carpet.
I reused lots of things we already had to design this room. The stars, flowers and ball lights are from our wedding decorations. I colored them for a softer light in this use.
The rug and knit blankets were all handmade by family members. The quilts were made by my mother in law. I designed and made the crib sheets and bumpers, (the flower and ruffles padding and curtains on the changing table are also crib bumbers hand sewn by me) the canopy hanging over the crib is tulle from the wedding as well as the tulle surrounding/tieing back the blackout curtains. When it comes time, I will remove the tulle from over the crib, lower the hoop a bit and hang the butterflies from the hoop with invisible string(probably fishing line). I will add some more vines filling the center of the hoop to block the direct light from the lantern above the crib.

I crafted the picture board on the wall above the dresser with a picture frame, some fabric and ribbon.

All the furniture is from second hand shops. The crib and changing table I painted white to freshen thm up.

My big splurge was the chandelier in the center of the room.

All the paintings were done by, and framed by myself as well.
The lighting in here is so fun! Most of the stars on the celing have blue light bulbs in them and provide a wonderul quiet light for us during the night when I will need to comfort her back to sleep. I cannot see in the dark at all and this will be so important to me AND it is beautiful! Unfortunetly I live in Alaska and cannot capture what it will look like in the dark until later in the year..

I enjoyed letting the creativity come to me while I was pregnant. I had so much fun designing this room!!
