  • Please I need advise not ratings for crown moulding install tomorrow!, This is a guest bedroom and I have guest coming next week. I am having crown moulding installed tomorrow and don't know how I should do it because of the odd shape. The capenter said I should go around the room and just run it up where the ceiling goes up. I think I would look better to run the crown on the inside of the recess and around the rest of the room just end it at the recess capping the end. If you look at the pictures you can understand what I mean. Let me know if I should go with my gut or listen to a capenter who is not a decorator? I will post pics when I finish the room. I need all of your advise on this one. So many talented people here I know I will get great input. Thanks so much., Bedrooms Design

  • Ugly Kitchen Makeover!, We had the ugliest kitchen, ever! There were 3 different kinds of cupboards, none matched. Our goal was to make it over on a budget. We hired a contractor to add crown moulding, and refaced every cupboard door ourselves, with a tiny miter saw and 1/4 trim. Then, new hardware, warm laminate floors, new counter tops, new fixtures, and new paint. We hope it will help sell our home in the spring!, Kitchens Design
