  • French Parisian Girl's Nursery, This nursery was initially designed as a gender neutral nursery as the client was in the process of adopting a baby and wasn't sure if she was going to get a baby boy or a baby girl. Once a birth mother was selected and we found out she was having a girl, we added sweet feminine touches to make a sophisticated french inspired nursery. The client loves Paris and everything French and the rest of her home reflects her love of french decor, so the theme for the nursery was evident! We selected 100% dupioni silk bedding, chose beautiful French themed nursery wall art and added sweet gems and jewels to the nursery wall hanging and canvases. The pink poodle rocking animal was a fun and playful touch and the mocha crystal nursery chandelier is accented with a hand made chandelier ceiling medallion that says "Anything is Possible"...a phrase the mom-to-be used during one of our conversations about her adoption process.   • Fit for a champ!, This is my newborn son, Zeke's room. My husband is a HUGE Kansas City Chiefs football fan, so of course he wanted to fill it with Chiefs and football decor which I had to then compromise and add things in to help tie it all together and not look like a teens sports room. Tuh duh! This is what we ended up with! Could be better, bu like I said, I had to compromise with my sports fanatic husband. I would have liked it to look a little more contemporary, where as my husband likes traditional. We are still trying to decide what to put on the windows that will tie in with everything and not look like it's too much for the room at the same time. Any suggestions??, Nurseries Design

  • Frogs, Snails and Puppy Dogs' Tails...Bugs and Worms Too!, This is my son Owen's warm and inviting nursery. It's a clean space evoking the theme around bugs, snails, worms and all the little slimy creatures that little boys love. My mom did the murals without any patterns or stencils. There is also a touch of the moon and stars overlooking our little creatures of nature. The daybed (Ikea) opens to a king sized bed so we wouldn't have to give up our guest bedroom. The custom paint really excentuates the shape of the room and gave us an opportunity to display our color palatte nicely. So far, it's been functional as well as esthetically pleasing for Owen. He loves to stare at the bugs (the stripes are pleasing to newborns)!, Nurseries Design
