  • Neutral Living Room, We haven't done much in here except paint the walls a neutral beige color. I would love some color inspiration... I tend to lean towards "safe" colors, and feel stumped with this living room. With our dark wood trim and our brown and beige furnishings I have no idea what color would look good on the walls. Any suggestions???, Living Rooms Design

  • Heirloom Coffee Table, I wanted to post my latest project! This coffee table started out its life as my mom and dad's back porch door. Recently they replaced the door and it was headed to the dump! But I spotted it ...wait.....you can't throw it away!!! So I had dad cut in half, bought legs, ordered tempered glass for the top, painted it white, had family photos printed (all in black and white..wedding pics if possible) Viola! Mom and dad's trash becomes my treasure! What do you think?, Living Rooms Design

  • Formal, warm and inviting living room, This is the room that would typically be called the formal living room. We are casual and have young children. I think the space is well suited to our lifestyle. It is a perfect space for conversation or to curl up and read a book. After dinner parties we generally circulate into the space for after dinner drinks and dessert. I still need to change out the previous drapery. It is not my style. It does match to some degree so it has been a little farther down on my to do list. I'll get them done, hopefully this year. Enjoy and thanks for looking!, Living Rooms Design

  • New place, same dilemma , Well, we just moved into our new space, and I have a dilemma with our desks. I have no idea what to do with them because of the long rectangular shape of the living room, and there is no where else to put our desks.

I can lose the side chair. I was thinking of maybe putting the desks in the corner behind it in an L-shape. I have no idea how to define an "office zone" with the dimensions of the living room. :{, Living Rooms Design

  • trash to treasure table, I found a coffee table for free. love that price! and painted it. I have finally found window treatments that I like so will get them lined and on rods above the windows. They are table cloths which come wider and longer than panels do anymore. this room is 600 sq feet but holds a huge armoire and piano that don't get moved and a gas stove that is off center so arranging is limited. we celebrate Christmas in this room and we are 20 when all the kids are here., Living Rooms Design

  • shyla's living room, I'm temporarily renting this trailer so I can't do much about the carpet or walls. I did my best to find accent pieces that worked both with my tastes and with the colors already present. I don't like the painting above the couch but I used something I already had to fill the space until I find the perfect piece (suggestions would be wonderful)., Living Rooms Design

  • From nothing to a lot? Living room makeover, I just decorated this living room area. Before the makeover I only had the leather couches and zebra armchair.
I moved those couches closer to my fireplace and one of them are parallel to the fireplace instead of the big screen TV. Do you think my living room looks too crowded? or too much color? Or is it missing something?, Living Rooms Design
