  • vintage modern nursery, Our daughter's contemporary nursery inspired by mid century modern design and sustainable elements.

My objective for designing this room was to create a kid-friendly environment that would reflect a youthful energy and transition well as our daughter grows older. White walls and furniture serve as a clean canvas to showcase a spectrum of vibrant colors throughout the room. The number collage, framed alphabet art, and roller coaster print are pieces reminiscent of childhood, but with urban appeal. Bold, colorful fabrics with contemporary patterns are mixed and matched to keep it fun., Nurseries Design

  • Traditional dining room with a twist, We have a large extended family and we eat alot. We use this room for our family dinners. This room isn't large enough so we usually spill into the living room as well. It's not stuffy but fun...hence why there is a sofa in the room. Our family is informal so this is my take on a "formal dining" room. , Holidays Design

  • Liam's Royal Frog Prince Nursery, My daughter-n-law and I wanted a whimsical type nursery but still wanted it to be masculine. We searched and searched for some type of inspiration to help us with a theme. Finally we came across a photo of a little girl kissing a frog prince and the theme was set. We know from the beginning that we wanted a black and white color combination and finally settle on green for our third color. From that point we let our imaginations flow. We added striped to the bottom part of the wall by taping off 12 in. sections and painting in alternating colors of black & white. The top border of the wall we created a connecting diamond shaped pattern using a diamond stencil I created out of cardboard. I used a small circle sponge to add metallic gold dots where each diamond meets. Using colors in Fresh Parsley, Black & White in a satin finish. I custom designed and handmade all the curtains, accent pillows, placemat and changing table cover.
The Chandelier was custom created by Whimsical Collections as a replica to the custom painting we had painted by hilariagalleries .
Other accessories bought at various stores throughout our process for creating this nursery.

This room was a true labor of Love. I enjoyed every minute difficult or easy in the process of designing this nursery, from the time I stitched my first stitch to the very last drop of paint.
I wanted my grandson to have a room worthy of a prince that he is. I created and did most of the work with the inspiration and ideas of my daughter-n-law to help along the way.

  • What A Dramatic Difference. . . Right? (Befores and Afters), Space Description: Originally my Grandparents 1970's "Vacant" home, I, a single 23 year old guy, bought my house in 2008 and it was a dump in need of a serious remodel. Though the projects never seem to be completly over, I demolished the entire interior of the house and things have turned out amazing. The most significant change made in the kitchen was removing the wall between the living room and kitchen. This allows there to be one large open concept space rather then 2 separate rooms.

Featuring Select 6x24 Veincut Travertine on the floor and a Classic Splitface Mosaic, uniquely found at Old World Stone Imports, people that come in the kitchen can't help but awe. The Counters are Blue Pearl Granite with a chiseled edge to tie in with the the rustic 3D Backsplash. A simple but beautiful trick that I have learned, when it comes to windows in the kitchen, is to simply frame them in Travertine moldings, in this case the Classic Alpha. This allows the window to appear almost as an ever changing picture.

I had custom Cabinets created so that they were designed exactly as I wanted them to be done. The main stain that I picked is also the stain used throughout the entire house on all of the moldings. This allows a simple accent that flows and creates uniformity throughout the entire house. On the island I chose to do a simple black wash to create a unique feature different from the rest of the kitchen as an accent.

After removing the horrible wallpaper I chose a simple yet traditional beige paint color. Once again this paint color can be found throughout the majority of the house. What do you think of me painting the Main Kitchen walls a classic Country Golden yellow? Though the deck door is not perfect I changed it from its 1970's green to a much more modern simple white doorway just by using some paint.

  • Master Bathroom, Our master bathroom is my favorite room in our house. We went with classic subway tile in cream and dark espresso stain for the vanity. With 10 foot ceilings we used over-sized espresso mirrors and a chandelier instead of the traditional vanity light. A pop of lime green was all we needed., Bathrooms Design

  • RV Reno, My family purchased a 1995 bumper-pull travel trailer. My husband had trouble seeing past the 90s blue carpet, and blue and pink splattered wall paper and draperies. • Our Colorful Kitchen Remodel, When we moved into our new house, we didn't have enough money to re-do our kitchen so we decided to handle the project ourselves. We painted the cabinets, painted the backsplash, added a hand painted island, changed out the hardware on the cabinets, spray painted the old kitchen light fixtures, painted a chalkboard wall, and replaced the old curtains with new ones. We love the way it turned out even though it was a lot of work!, Kitchens Design

  • Tanner's Big Sister Bedroom, With a Brother soon to be here my granddaughter wanted a big sister room. Damask, stripes, polka dots & rhinestones were the inspiration for this bedroom. I painted two shades of pink stripes on the wall one color satin finish and the other in a gloss finish. I created a scalloped border around the room with a circular sponge and filled the space in with polka dots. I used fabric patterns of black& white stripes, Black & white damask and black &white polka dots to create all the curtains and to add accents to the damask comforter. I created window cornices for the double window and one for a beautiful background for her bed. I created a vanity out of an end table with an adorable mini chandelier to accent the area. I also created a matching doll bed for her dolls which was the perfect finish for an Amazing Big Sister Bedroom., Girls' Rooms Design
